spuddy - very natural looking scene, could be a photograph.

Inspired by the same-named example render which comes with the Bryce Mentoring DVD. The lens was adjusted, a second planet added and additionally a starfield from the Space Construction Kit. The DS-Sky01 from the Deep Space HDRI 1 set was used.

mermaid, simply gorgeous water and rocks.  Love that sky.

Puddy, I like this vegetation even better than the first.  Nice selection of different plants.

Horo, awe inspiring space sky.  The filmy star ways are perfect.

spuddy - thank you. Great scene, not nice as such but very well done.

Spuddy, very cool scene.  I especially like the moon light coming in that lights up the yellow flower.  Excellent addition.  The broken glass makes this a Halloweeny, creepy scene.

Tried a 360 panoramic this time.  Used a mirror mat on the ground plane and a Bryce supplied object.

NGartplay - nicely done abstract, looking a bit like a flower.

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,115

spuddy : beautiful scene, special effect from the light shining through the broken windows, very well done.

NGartplay : wonderful abstract "flower", cool soft flowing colours.

    spuddy:
    - A beautifuly done "cliff edge" image. Great composition, textures, depth and POV!
    - Your abandoned warehouse is spooky. (It reminds me of morbid yet fascinating websites like e.g. https://opacity.us/locations .)

    Horo:
    - Cool space scene!

    NGartplay:
    - A pretty abstract! It looks like some pastel color orchid.

Everything self made: the terrain, the material, the lake. Sky by the CloudSphere9 and the ambient light by the corresponding SkySC9 HDRI, both from the Sky Toolbox (available at bryce-tutorials) and the key light by the sun.

I didn't have time to look at all renders recently. Very interesting and nice renders all!

I did have time to quickly modify some scenes and let them render without me present. Actually, that way I created quite a few, modifying camera views, textures and skies. Here a couple, based on a (sometimes modified) ridge-terrain by Horo/David. The first one contains a cloud slab by the same authors (modified by me) and the other two contain a sky from one of the sets e.g. from Karanta, though it could also be someone else.

More terrains rendered while I was doing other things. In this case, I reworked an existing terrain (the one made from a photo of lights) and made holes in it with stones. An Owl from the Songbirds remix and a DAZ panther included.

Finally, a set of three renders from the tiled terrain I used earlier (found at Renderosity if I remember correctly). I modified the terrain and added a cloud slab by David B/Horo in all of them. Of course, I did modify the cloud slab too. The last two are only marginally different, specifically in the sky. I think the last one is the best of the two. The first of the three is actually also in a render I used for the majestic animals contest, but hardly recognisable there.

Hansmar, the skies are so dramatic in the first post.  I can't see either of the two in the second post.

I love the terrains in the last post.  All of them.

I'm still trying to figure out distortion and I finally have it.  After reading adrian's post about their scene stretching I tried to recreate the issue.  I ended up with this by putting in outrageous numbers in the camera's FOV, size and rotation slots.

Trying html code see how it goes.

Spuddy - beautiful scene, love the contrast of the dark and lit areas

NGartplay - love the abstract beautiful done. I got my eyes on you is awesome

Horo -  another fantastic render, superb materials and lighting

Hansmar - an amazing set of terrain renders. I also can't see the images in the 2nd post

  • mermaid010mermaid010 Posts: 5,490
Not bad for my first try at coding :)

Hansmar - very nice renders, you have been busy lately. from the first series I like the third best, the second two are empty, and the third three look all great.

NGartplay - your "I've Got My Eye on You" looks interesting, looks like a 360° panoramic render.

mermaid - thank you. Your html coding shows a perfect result.

Horo : beautiful mountain scene, awesome material and sky.

Hansmar : cool renders, from the first set : I prefer the last one, no images on the second  and from the third set I also like them all.

NGartplay : "I've got my eye on you" is just awesome.

    Thank you adbc.

    Thanks everyone.

Horo, you're absolutely correct.  I forgot to say that it is 360 degree panoramic.  Thanks for catching that.  I was just trying to get the same distortion as Adrian.

NGArtplay, Mermaid, Horo, adbc, Thank you all. Indeed, something went wrong with the second set. I have repaired this now (I hope).

NGArtplay, Great abstract 360 degree panorama.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,644

Hansmar - yes, repaired. Two special and interesting scenes.

  • NGartplayNGartplay Posts: 3,116

Hansmar, much better.  Those are two awesome landscapes.  The rocks are so different that I really enjoy them.  I like how you got the holes in them.

  • mermaid010mermaid010 Posts: 5,490

Hansmar - both renders are superb, like NGartplay I like how u got holes in 2nd one

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,115

Hansmar : both renders are very well done, great idea on how you got the holes in them.
