$24 PayPal invoices looks like automatic renewal for a previous quarterly membership.

If so then DAZ needs to clean up their act here.  I was on a quarterly renewal too but they forced us into a monthly fee set up.  So if I get double charged there will be hell to pay.  Most of us are on budgets and every dollar counts.  So they best get it together!  angry

If you previously paid for a quarterly or annual subscription with PayPal, I would suggest checking your PayPal account for a remaining recurring payment for that subscription, just in case (like when you cancel your membership).

This is one of the few things in this cavalcade of screw-ups that isn't Daz's fault. PayPal's recurring payment setup continues on its own until canceled on the PayPal side. I've seen that with other things when using PayPal.

If I upgrade to Premier, create a project using Premier Exclusive Tools and then later downgrade back to a Daz+ membership, will my projects, created in Studio Premiere, open and be editable in Daz Studio +?

If you mean tols as in plug-ins then the only one that can leave a relic in the scene is Geometry Sculptor (ne Mesh Grabber) which can create a live modifier which can be saved in the scene and adjusted later, but it can also be turned into a moprh that will work without the plug-in. Render Queue obviosuly needs the plug-in to process a queue, but you could still do renders of single frames or images sequences without it (or use another queue manager). The others just create things and are done, their output (converted shapes or poses) does not depend on the plug-ins to work.

Content will fail to load; so far it has all been shapes so if a shape was used in a character you would lose its contribution but you would otherwise still have the character.

AIko 9 has textures, so if the textures are used in a character and the files are removed when the subscription ends, those too will cause errors

No, though the license to use them will have expired. Textures do not get encrypted.

    That... isn't any better.

So you then have a character with unlicensed textures and no error message to warn you unless you also used the morph? Like if I gave Vicky 9 one of Aiko 9's eye textures, my subscription ends, and I'm expected to remember using the Aiko 9 eye texture and replace it lest I infringe and potentially be subject to whatever penalty daz inflicts on those found to be using unlicensed content?

This may have already been answered and I just missed it, but if I subscribe and use the Shape Transfer tool to transfer my G8 characters to G9 and then let my subscription lapse, will I still have access to the converted characters? If I understand correctly, I won't be able to access the Shape Transfer tool any more, but what about already converted characters?

Converted characters will be fine. Only Geometry Sculptor (when it is left as a modifier instead of baked to a morph or the like) and Render Queue may leave "live" elements linked to membership, the converters do their job and leave regular content which has no dependency on the membership.

Be on the lookout to those who were offered a free period of Premier.

I was offered 3 months of Premier if I changed over. Since my membership was ending soon, I accepted & converted over.

Today, my credit card was charged for the month of November...I should still have 2 months left. I should have been good through the end of the year. Submitted a ticket requesting a refund.

Pretty pathetic to offer a period of free membership but not honor the deal...my opinion of DAZ & their practices just keeps getting lower & lower.
