    Funny enough, that's actually a glitch, lol. The 3d ripple (from SY's ripples and wakes) uses an opacity map to blend out the edges. This looks fine in Filament from the top, but from the front you get the usual depth fighting from semi transparent objects.

     

    I tried to fix this using the same technique I used in the other thread to get that translucent shirt effect; I created a geometry shell with the exact same shader settings as the base, except one has soft transparency while the other has clamped transparency. If tweaked right it's pretty seamless. However, I didn't realise until after I posted that I forgot to adjust the geometry shell to be much closer to the base surface, causing that slightly glitchy 'glow' to appear, lol.

     

    Edit: Oh, and just in case I misunderstood and you actually just meant the lighting at that part, I think I also added a point light under the water. They don't cast shadows in Filament anyway, making them good for adding a little colour variance to a scene.

    Hahah The "glitchy glow" is a happy accident then. Very cool! :D The image turned out SO GOOD! Nicely done!

    @Artini Nice! The postwork makes it POP! :D You might keep an eye on hand placement. It's hard to tell what's happening with their lower hands, particularly his - as it blends in a bit too much with the arm. One thing I suggest is keeping an eye on the figures' silhouettes and their "readability". Overlapping parts can be confusing to understand. Strong silhouettes can be a huge help in the readability of an image. That's just a little suggestion - please please please don't think I'm trolling or trying to be mean. I really hope you don't take it that way and aren't offended by my suggestion. If you are please let me know and I'll be happy to remove my comment. You're such a sweetheart and I'd never want to offend you! *hugs*

    Just wonder what my recently purchased Corel programs from HumbleBundle

    will add to the table.

    Having bought that bundle, I'm struggling a bit with Paint Shop Pro myself. Its hard to figure out how to do some of the effects I could in Photoshop, and tutorials are scares, but I persevere.

    I had to hide the outline for the leaves, which is annoying.I hope they are working on updating filatoon and solving some of these problems.

    What was the issue? The cating-shadows-on-the-outline-surface issue was fixed, single-plane mesh is - as I understand it - another matter and may not be truly fixable

    Love this! So sweet! I think the line goes around the actual model so if there's a  transmap, it will show the leaves as being rectangular rather than leaf shaped. But everything looks fine in this render.

    Thank you! Though only one of the backgrounds I put together. The Jem/Barbie inspired one is the Bubble Light Stage with a star pattern shader added to the center panel. https://www.daz3d.com/bubble-light-stage

    The one with the Christmas freebie tail, I didn't have time to set up a background for that one so I added an image to a plane primitive. I was exploring Leonardo Ai last week and that was one of the images Leonardo Ai made. I think I asked for "vibrant anime stunning texture micro photo", or some such word salad. lol It's the first time using an Ai image for a background but I thought it turned out neat, so I decided to use it. It's definitely more satisfying, though, setting up and rendering 3D backgrounds.

    So while the Ai image for a background was a pretty big time saver, it definitely doesn't feel as satisfying rendering with it. If it wasn't 4 AM when setting up the scene I would have used 3D assets instead. :)

    My submission to one of the Daz+ contests, used deco wallpaper. Does anyone know how to create reflections in Filament? I had to render from a different angle and composite in Photoshop.

    Unfortunately I don't know how to do actual reflections. What I can say though, if you don't mind some constructive criticism, is that the reflection on the mirror is at the wrong angle. Unless the mirror is leaning forward, you wouldn't see so much of the floor. Here's a stock photo I found of a similar composition.

    Here's an idea. If you turn on "display persistance" on the main camera, you'll be able to see the blue line showing the camera direction even when it's not selected. See where it intersects with the mirror, and create a Null object there. Then parent the camera to the Null, duplicate the Null using "duplicate node hierarchies" (so you end up with two Nulls, each with an identical camera attached to them), and then rotate the second null by 135 degrees-ish? (it'll probably depend on the scene, so you might have to eyeball it unfortunately) Render from both angles, flip the second image, then composite. From my experiment, this should be accurate.
