Any news on when the GF8 fixwill be issued for those people who don't want to reinstall it in another folder?

I bought the "Auto Face Enhancer HD With PowerPose for Genesis 8 Male(s)" but not the other two products. I had already bought "Auto Face Enhancer" for G8F and it seems that the PowerPoser works so much better in the AFE for G8F than for "Auto Face Enhancer HD With PowerPose for Genesis 8 Male(s)".
Is that true or is that just me have a bit of bad luck? Do I need the "AFE - Real Male HD Expressions for Genesis 8 Male(s)" product as well to make it work as well as the "Auto Face Enhancer" for Genesis 8 Females product does all by itself?
I do think that the geoshell skin materials after being assigned do work better on "AFE - Real Male HD Expressions for Genesis 8 Male(s)" then on the "Auto Face Enhancer" for Genesis 8 Females product but that may of been just the odd angle the camera used to render through in my scene.
Will there be a
a) AFE - Real Female HD Expressions for Genesis 8 Female(s)
b) Auto Face Enhancer Skin HD Details for Genesis 8 Female(s)
or will that be a part of the "Auto Face Enhancer" for Genesis 8 Females product update when you publish it?
I'm not sure I will update if it doesn't keep the same excellent PowerPose capabilities it has now really.

Also, there is some type of conflict between Auto Face Enhancer.
a) I installed the AFE for G8F it works OK.
b) I installed the AFE for G8M, it works OK but AFE for G8F is broken.
c) I reinstall AFE for G8F and it works OK again. I had already applied AFE for G8M in the scene and didn't change that but it didn't mess up.
d) I save scene. I exit DAZ Studio.
e) I open DAZ Studio & open the saved scene. The AFE for G8F works OK still but now the AFE for G8M is a grey block head (and the AFE for G8M no longer shows in Accessories and the (Apply AFE for G8M Preset) in props is in DS Lost & Found!
f) I deinstall AFE for G8M & reinstall AFE for G8M via DIM. I refresh the Smart Content / Content Library via "refresh" instead of restarting DAZ Studio.
g) I again apply the AFE for G8M prop to G8M in my scene & they both work again. I deleted and re-added both props on the G8F & G8M without restarting DS and they still worked. I will try to save to scene, exit DAZ, start DAZ & re-open the scene and see if they break again.
h) I saved scene, exited DAZ Studio, opened DAZ Studio, loaded the scene & this time again the AFE for G8F was a grey blockhead. So it seems for those that own both products the last product installed of those two will be the one that works when you create, save, and reopen a scene using those products but the 1st one installed will be broken grey blockhead after you save & reopen the scene with both of them.
By the way, there is a naming conflict that might cause your product to be buggy if DS has bugs. Both AFE props are named simple Auto Face Enhancer when applied in a scene to a character. The AFE for G8F should load in a scene with a unique name as compared to AFE for G8M. Even though DS will postpend a (2), (3), ...(n) number to the name if it's assuming these are 2nd, 3rd, & so on instances of the 1st Auto Face Enhancer loaded into the scene it's probably going to cause problems because the AFE for G8M & the AFE for G8F are not seperate instances of the same AFE but completely different products. It's best not to take chances and simply name them differently from the start: eg AFE for G8F and AFE for G8M. To be extra safe clear, you could have a dialogue popup to use for the user to give a name to postpend to the AFE prop being loaded, eg a popup asks user for a name & they type Victoria 8 so when loaded the AFE is named AFE for G8F (Victoria 8) and a second AFE for Olympia 8 could wind up with a name like AFE for G8F (Olympia 8).

Thanks for your assistance in fixing these matters. It would be nice to see AFE for G8M PoserPose work as good as it does with AFE for G8F.
I have to mention a game-breaking bug for me. Have to delete AFE for now, very sadly, because the plugin is great! I quoted the discussion, exactly this is the problem. BATCH RENDER DOES NOT WORK. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT GETTING THE PLUGIN AND WANT TO BATCH RENDER - WARNING!
However, if you don't batch render! Get it, it's really, really cool!

There is also the bug I point out that superficially has nothing to do with batch rendering but if batch rendering is dependant on instancing then the bug I wrote about is likely the same bug causing trouble when you are trying batch render.
This has already been awknowledged by the dev and the workaround is to install one of the products manually in a separate directory until the G8F update comes out.
So I just simply delete AFE and install the files manually in a different folder? Why a different folder, that doesn't make sense to me. Just trying to figure out what can possibly cause this problem.
The batch rendering issue showing a call out for missing files (that are not in fact missing) appears to me to be reliant on what order Daz loads files when opening a scene. As the AFE expressions are not active until the master control slider is active if the expression is loaded first, before the AFE controller, the expression morph cannot be loaded to its required value. I have found that opening each scene you want to batch render manually, saving it, then closing it again temporarily fixes the missing file issue and all those images can then be batch rendered with no further issues.
This workaround worked for me as well last time. However, depending on the number of renders it can take very long. I batch rendered 32 images and opening them again, making sure to click "Skip" on AFE and saving again took me one and a half hours :/
Yes, definitely a pain the arse, but not as much as coming back to your renders 13 hours later expecting them to be done only to find the first one hasn't even loaded yet.
I've had to do this, too - although not only for AFE. I've encountered the "needed files" bug with G8 base, too.
As mentioned, the workaround is to open all the files and re-save them.
It can take some time, but remember Daz can open multiple instances. I just click on all my files and let them open, then save one at a time.

This tip is worth gold. I wasn't aware of that. So I simply mark all my files in windows explorer, for example, using Ctrl + A, hit enter, go for a walk, come back, and all of them are open. Then I simply have to resave them. This is great advice! Because the most tedious point in resaving the files is waiting for the file to open because that can take quite some time when it is a big render.
Note that this way of opening multiple isntances of DS will not work once DS 4.12.1.x (or later) is promoted to a General Release (multiple isntances will still be possible, but not just like this).
This isn't the thread, so move it if it needs to be moved...but how will the multiple instances thing work? Multiple instances are critical to my workflow...
I just came back from a needed vacation. Some Good Looking AFE Images here. The AFE-G8F has finished 2 weeks ago with 1 fix I have to resend back in. Waiting game. AFE-G8F is a new build and it is in a bundle. So 3 parts are under testing.
Just a note: All those who have G8F will have a free update on the HD expression and the AFE + PowerPose.
Your $ support will be the HD Skin Details. I like how it turned out. It is similar to G8M with better improvement. like AFE-G8F I have separated the eyebrow from facial expression in PowerPose.
Sorry, Guys/Girls. I don't render in Daz. for me, it takes a long time. I do all my posing in Daz and Export it out as OBJ and render it in realtime with Marmoset. Once I finish setting up the materials in Marmoset I can just click export from Daz and click render on Marmoset. For animation, I use ABC export.
For daz3d - I will always do a test render 1st.
1st try test render - small images like 100x100 pixels before going big.
2nd try subD-1 100x100 pixels - time?
3nd try subD-4 100x100 pixels - time?

Well I just did a light review in the DAZ Gallery of Auto Face Enhancer and Auto Face Enhancer HD for Genesis 8 Male(s) and while I was doing that the DAZ Gallery product lookup entry for "Auto Face Enhancer" disappeared and a new product "Auto Face Enhancer HD for Genesis 8 Female(s)" showed up. However the update for "Auto Face Enahancer" to "Auto Face Enhancer HD for Genesis 8 Female(s)" still hasn't showed up as available in DIM for download. It must be close to release though.
A ~200MB update for AFE just came through DIM, but it doesn't seem to have affected AFE G8F - setting subD above 0 has no effect.
Might have to manually download. That updated it for me.
1st uninstall Auto face Enhancer
2nd install the AFE HD it is 791MB
the HD Expression is on the way it should be free for all AFE.

Well we have a problem.
DIM is only showing me the old product to download and not the new updated product. The old product can be saved but I need the new product to actually be seen in DIM since I want updates to that product for bug fixes. The old product should be deleted by DAZ as part of that product. The old product is 216.4MB and the new product is 790.68MB. That's the way you tell them apart besides the name change. Now I can manually download the new product, copy it to the DIM folder, and install it but I still need in the future for updates to that product to show up in DIM. And the product that was split from the orginal product that has the AFE for G8F expression settings as a new product needs to be added to my list of purchased products too. The Skin HD Details should not be added to me list of purchased products unless I buy it seperately.
D.Master said those that bought "Auto Face Enhancer" (for Genesis 8 Female) should get an update but as two products because the old product has been split into two products:

I've installed the 790MB AFE update, uninstalled the old 216MB AFE manually and it's broken. I has two props: an AFE prop, a geoshell prop, the PowerPose is just the generic PowerPose template, and the AFE PowerPose ON/OFF/Reset presets don't work.
1-uninstall all AFE close Daz3d if open
2-install AFE HD close Daz3d if open
3-open daz3d-load g8F-load AFE geometry (G8F-shape folder) onto G8F to activate Power pose
AFE - Real Female HD Expressions for Genesis 8 Female(s) will be coming. (Free for those purchased AFE) give some time for Daz to set up and organize.

Thanks. I will exit DAZ Studio, uninstall all of AFE for G8F / AFE and look to see if there are files from it still in DAZ Studio content folders then delete them and then using the manual download ZIP and install that...
...but DAZ 3D still need to fix this product in DIM and maybe DAZ Connect (I don't use DAZ Connect).
I've update AFE for G8F using DIM and all is working again for me. The previous scenes where I've used this now load as expected. I'll update and add the other add ons when they appear. Thanks for the fix and the support, much appreciated.

Make sure you close Daz Studio otherwise it fail to update.
No, I just checked again. Because the old product & updated product have the same product number only the old product shows up in my DIM for download. Ain't not confusing it either as the names are different & the sizes of the two product installer Zip files are different too.
So that doesn't work.
So I
a) Exit DAZ Studio
b) Start DIM & uninstall Auto Face Enahance (for G8F)
c) Auto Face Enhancer (for G8F) now sits in DIM in the Ready to Install tab but it's the old one. So I right click on it & delete package.
d) DIM refreshes & shows me the Auto Face Enhancer I just deleted is ready to download but it is the wrong product because it is the old product.
e) I go to my Product Library in a browser to the Auto Face Enhancer for Genesis 8 Female(s) and click the green "Download & Install" link for DIM but it sill only shows Auto Face Enhancer, the old product & not the new fixed product.
f) So fine. I close DIM and download the new product installer that is over 800MB and extract it to me HD. I copy the contents to my DAZ Studio Content Library.
g) I start DAZ Studio and click on Dorothea and it doesn't work. The PowerPose is the Generic Template for PowerPose not the G8F PowerPose Template that D.Master made (correction PowerPose for G8F template was made by DAZ 3D and comes with Genesis 8 Starter Essentials for G8F).
h) So Yes, there is a problem but in DIM & with the update of this product when manually installed. And somehow the PowerPose template for G8F, regardless of whether a G8F character has a Auto Face Enhancer prop applied to it, has gone missing from my DAZ Content Library configuration. And the only product I've installed that messes with it is Auto Face Enhancer.
i) So I should be able to uninstalled the Genesis 8 Starter Essentials to fix the missing G8F PowerPose template and that worked. (Note DAZ Studio was not running during deinstall or reinstall).
j) So it sort of works but WHY:
i) Is there an Auto Face Enhancer attachment preset and a head geoshell preset and body geoshell preset in the folder underneath the Auto Face Enhancement preset.
ii) Why didn't turning PowerPose ON & OFF presets work on the Auto Face Enhancer attachment once loaded?
iii) And since I installed manually the product it doesn't show in smart content, I must manually find it in content library
iv) In complex scene with AFE for male & female loaded it slows to a crawl to use it but that's not the product's problem though.
