Another Abstract with spheres and Torii using the same setup as the last one, different camera position and Hdri from the David and Horo’s Exotic Hdri for Fantasy Skies and Sci-fi for the lighting.

Mermaid010: Now, that is a very nice abstract. Looks like a detail of a dress, with folds, ribbons, jewelry. I like abstracts when they make me guess what it is that I see.

An abstract, obviously. The camera is within the trunk of a default tree and near the branches. Tree wood and foliage are partly transparent and full reflecting. Light and colour from an HDRI.

Hi. Recently i "went to basics" again once more... Was trying out abstractions based on Horo/David method (which is kinda make you give more attention to small DTE changes):

Besides that, finally did "Cloud City" tutorial (had it in product library for a while, i think it was a freebie giveaway at some point). It was not as complex as building cathedral in "Great Hall" tut, but still had some curious tricks to follow (is boolean modelling kinda "lost tech" nowodays?). Now, i only need somehow to not forget all of that and apply in my own scenes. laugh

adbc and Rieke77 - thank you.

akmerlow - good work on the abstracts, the 3rd is my favorite. I remember Cloud City. Boolean is a nice modeling method. It depends on how your brain works: subdivision like Hexagon or Wings works a bit like if you would sculpture a stone - removing parts; boolean is more like constructing something by adding objects.

Wow Spuddy beautiful experiments I like them

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,115

akmerlow : cool abstracts, lovely colours. Cloud city is very well done.

spuddy : Just a picture is beautiful. I also like the different experiments.

  • Rieke77Rieke77 Posts: 618

@ spuddy - beautiful experiments. Very well done.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,644

spuddy - couldn't say you're not making progress. The first misses a background or a sea to cover the ground plane. You did this in the second by adding another terrain and in the third one you increased haze to give the scene more depth. Everything very well done.

This was on my short list for the challenge.but was sided because there wasn't enough of me in it but more of a 3D photo manipulation of other peoples work ( free to use models) .....it's a screen grab of the render because Bryce decided to do a major melt down on saving ... but thats software for you all part of the adventure
