@ spuddy - great render. I like this scene.
spuddy - doesn't look very comfortable for the boat at the moment. Nice colour choice.
Hansmar...adbc...Rieke77....Horo.....Thanks
A double stacked terrain to experiment with some water. The clouds are from the Objects 2D & 3D Clouds set, the ambient light by the invisible NeonWires HDRI from HDRI4Fun and the key light by the sun.
The anaglyph has a bit less haze and the ALS was used.
Horo : Very beautiful scene and anaglyph.
@ Horo : looks very beautiful and the anaglyph is great.
adbc and Rieke77 - thank you.
An experiment to have two lakes with shore lines at different heights on the same terrain. In fact, there are two identical terrains, one tilted by 0.1° to get the shore lines separate. The waters are just 2D-faces. And again an anaglyph version.
Horo : Again an excellent scene and anaglyph !
@ Horo - fantastic! I love your experiments!
Spuddy - very nice idea, I hope the crew escaped.
Horo - two fantastic renders and anaglyphs, excellent as usual
Thank you all for your kind comments
Horo very nice experiments I like the beach effect
here are a couple of very different recent renders
adbc, Rieke77, mermaid and spuddy - thank you.
spuddy - two nice renders.
@ spuddy - very beautiful images.
Two beautiful renders Spuddy. I tried your images which I downloaded a while ago but still can't use them properly. I have that problem with most 2D images.
THanks Horo thanks Rieke77
Thanks mermai010 the first image is made up of 3D objects not 2D images in case you thought that I only say that because of your reply.....There is one bryce terrain ....The wall object has a different material because the original was too dark ...all the grasses are free to use no atribution models but i put different materials on them...as is the dandylion plant as is the ladybird/bug ...positioning the ladybirds esp the one hanging on upside down was a bit difficult given the navigation options.
When you say you have difficulty with 2D images in general ,how are you trying to use them?..... regards dave
spuddy : two really nice renders.
Spuddy - I just love how you use the vegetation in your renders whether 3D or 2D. I love making scenes with lots of flowers, trees etc and nice 3D models are unaffordable, so I try with 2D images but not successfully. I would love to one day make a scene like C-ram or Slepalex, their work is awesome, very inspiring. However I did some nice renders with David and Horo's Vegetation Pack although I used their example files as a basis for my setup.
It's amazing the range of artwork that comes out of Bryce! It really does allow for a lot of cool effects. Great job to everyone. Like Hansmar I could not possibly hope to comment on everything but I will try to address as many as I can. I really miss rendering in Bryce. Lately I've been using it daily as a content generator...stones...and various other functions. I am hoping to get back into Bryce rendering when I upgrade my rig within the next few months ideally, but who knows?
Horo,
These terrains are as always highly impressive. And that abstract you just posted is nothing short of astounding.
akmerlow,
Your cloud tutorial results are really nicely! I think that you too have excellent tastes in abstracts. I miss Bryce's atmospheric functions desperately lately. If Bryce could be made to export volumetric clouds as .vdb files that could be incredible. I think Bryce could become very useful if it could become a high quality procedural content generator.
Spuddy,
Oh man it's nice to see the fun you're having and the results you're achieving early on in your Bryce experience! It really is a sweet app and you'll never want to stop using it. I look forward to seeing what more things you offer up. Welcome aboard!
I think this turned out really well! Great job.
Really really nice work here!!
Rashad - thank you. Bryce is still a very versatile toy. There are indeed a couple of things I'd like to have added, improved and rectified. But the bright side of Bryce not being updated is no new bugs are introduced and many of the existing ones we learned to circumvent.
THANKS adbc thanks Rashad
mermai010 thanks again...the reality is without the same resources it will be very difficult to emulate that style of render to a level that will satisfy you
a few things I've been playing around with
You are so correct Spuddy, but Bryce is so versatile and fun to use that even doodles produce great art. I love all your latest renders, the "tumbling balls" my fav.
spuddy : your latest renders are really awesome. The second and the last one are my favourite.
spuddy - the few things you played around look great.
We've even gone so far as to turn certain bugs into features such as hyper textures!
Rashad - yes, sometimes it is difficult to decide: it is a bug or an option. Hyper textures, however, work on Bryce 5.01, 5.5, 6.0, 6.1, 6.3 and 7.1, all tested. Bryce 4 doesn't feature Distance Squared noise so I couldn't test.
@ Rashad - thank you very much!
@ spuddy - your last five images are really wonderful. I like them all.
I modeled an arena in Bryce but had no idea how I could use it so I put it into a tilted mirror cube and made an abstract. The esoSky HDRI lights it from the inside and is also rendered as backdrop. Additionally, the sun in the zenith and a Distant Light at the nadir. In front of the camera the extreme wide-angle fisheye lens showing 270° diagonal. To add reflections, it was rendered with Max Ray Depth 12 in 8 minutes.
Horo, Rieke77, mermaid010, spuddy, adbc, Hansmar, Rashad Carter - thank you much for kind words.

Rashad, glad to see you around Bryce parts of forum again :)
