I'm still playing with boats, but this time just a very little one and it's not the main point of focus in this scene.

Very cool tropical scene! Also people look good in this scene.

Drachenlords room and furniture, two plants from Vegetation and all light by the ShoalOfFish HDRI I had made from the render with a dynamic range of 2141:1.
The chain knots were made in Wings3D a while ago and are lit by the same HDRI but specular convolved, dynamic range 336:1.
    The HDRI (4096 x 2048, 2048 x 1024 and the specular convolved one 1024 x 512) are free on my website: Raytracing > Resources > HR-HDRI (S).

Beautiful interior render and also very nice object modelling & presentation.

I created quickly this little picture with materials from MatCreators excellent material library MC-MMM, which is sold with a discount today.
(I hope, that's okay to mention bargains here, if not let me know and I delete my post immediatly)

    It's image based?

Electro-elvis - the textures look nice, thanks for mentioning "discount" I managed to bag one of David and Horo's products smiley

  • @akmerlow: Yes, I think so.
@mermaid010: Thank you. I find MC textures are well-done. Though I spent already quite a lot of money, maybe I will search for David and Horo's product as well.

Electro-Elvis - nicely done. I have a couple of objects by MatCreator, got them to test, but no materials.

akmerlow - it appears that you indeed remember some buttons to press. Looks very nice.

@ Hansmar - your rainy Gull Island looks beautiful. I like that.

    @ mermaid010 - a really beautiful fantasy scene.

@ Horo - the aquarium room is wonderful and the chain knots are
    very well done.
The terrain with water and clouds is awesome.

@ Electro Elvis - I like the textures. Looks pretty.

@ akmerlow - your quick render looks very good.

something I've been playing with the last couple of days finally got it out without out of memory or just plain crashing on saving ( I'm using LAA in case it's suggested) it is an exercise in placement and materials it was originally inspired by Dave's stream/ countryside  render

Nice and inviting forest scene, spuddy!

I'm still on ships and concentrating on mood and atmosphere. The material on the closest ship's hull could do with improving massively and I need to work on the canon blast coming from the other ship, the fire and smoke coming from the nearest ship looks OK(ish) though.

Wow! Dave, your naval renders are gorgeous.

Inspired by Dave’s Tensegrity Table, this is an exercise in Modelling and Lighting in Bryce. The Table is on a 2D Disk

mermaid010, very lovely renders you have there. And nice modelling. I also like very much those pastel colours/lighting!

A excessively raised terrain as seen through a fisheye lens. The castle is part of the Grobburg that disappeared from the Daz 3D shop. The sky is an HDRI made with Bryce clouds, dynamic range 10,000:1.

    Difficult Access

Impresseve scenery. I still don't have stereo glasses (had them years ago but lost), so i enjoy just this 2d monitor version :)

    EDIT:

    Horo, Rieke77 - thanks.

Electro-Elvis : Great textures. Have some materials from Mat Creator.

  • akmerlowakmerlow Posts: 1,124

Mat Creator also created those "alien artifacts" i often see in Horo's renders, right?

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,644

akmerlow - yes, I have 20 of them, and the hole.

Fun, very simple, just a sphere, a radial inside and an HDRI outside, file size below 3 KB. The sphere is displaced by a texture. Renders in 5 minutes, the anaglyph took half an hour.

Horo: great terrain with volumetric clouds. Good work with the displaced sphere.

Electro-Elvis. This are great textures and well rendered. But it would be great to get the same effect procedurally.

Akmerlow: You clearly still l\know where the buttons are!

    Rieke77: Thank you

I made a city in an island. The city consists of two stacked terrains and the island is also a modified version of the same terrain. Some speedboat from Hermione Nieves and a weird object from Matcreator and windturbines from Free3D. Sky is an fantastic sky by Horo.

    I call it Mountaincity.

A terrain created in the TE, posterised, giving it a metallic material and copied five times to create a room with one open end through which a bit of sunlight enters. Main light by the WhiteSphere HDRI with only 80% Shadow Intensity to penetrate the room.
Just for the fun of it, I also rendered an anaglyph.
