Thanks Horo, Hansmar, NGartplay and Adbc for the nice comments
Hansmar both the lanscapes are lovely, I like both
great renders you have all been very busy
hand drawn terrain somewhat uninspiring but the lighting sort of saves it...anyway I like the light
started out with render one with bryce sky then added hdri sky for no two then changed the view for number three
number four is side view of terrain with Hdri sky just to show whole terrain
Spuddy, that is such an expansive terrain, so much you can do with it. Love the details in the terrain and the lighting in all three is perfect.
NGartplay thank you very much yes it is quite large and varied and as you say loads of scope
another view
spuddy - very nicely done terrain with snow. I like the dark ones with the sun from the side best.
Double stacked terrain and for the clouds a massive infinite slab, for the ambient light a clear sky dome sunless HDRI and part of a boat in the foreground.
Spuddy, that terrain is just so interesting. Well done.
Horo, love the boat prow in the picture. The water is fantastic and really lovely terrain. The sandy shore is perfect. One can almost fee that they are rowing towards an unknown shore.
spuddy : great result with the terrains, all with a different effect, well done.
Horo : Excellent landscape, awesome terrain, reflection on the water and clouds.
Thank you NGartplay and adbc.
Been modeling lately, here's a couple more (Strange Object) GeoDome & Torus Modeled in Wings 3D & Amorphium 3
S Ray - two interesting objects and very nicely presented.
S Ray : two beautiful objects, the satin texture is awesome.
Spuddy – wow lovely landscapes, interesting terrain, I also like the darker ones.
Horo – another amazing render, love the lighting and reflections.
S Ray – two beautiful objects and well presented, actually I have a similar object to the 1st one rendering at the moment.
A Sunset using the Sunset Hdri from Hdri Enhanced Skies
mermaid : realistic and peaceful, beautiful reflection from the sky on the water.
Thanks everyone yes the first one was only to show the starting point and how uninspiring it was with a standard bryce sky
Horo really lovely scene with a great viewpoint from the boat
S Ray two nicely produced and interesting objects
mermaid010 everything adbc said.... really lovely
yet another with water
Really beautiful terrain @spuddy
Lovely dreamy image @mermaid010
I love skimming through this thread once in a while. Interesting art and visual explorations.
mermaid - this sunset scene came out very nicely. Though I know this sky well, I've never noticed the dramatic effect towards the zenith.
spuddy - looks very nice with the water in front.
A terrain from Gritstone Hills with a material assembled from two sets (High Resolution Terrains 1 and Landscapes under Fantastic Skies). Ambient light by the Field2b_CSD HDRI from Object Clouds 2D & 3D like the cloud slab.
Thanks Adbc and Paintbox for the nice comments
Spuddy - thanks for comment, your latest is fantastic
Horo - thanks, another superb landscape render, the lighting and mat are perfect.
mermaid - thank you.
Apparently a comment I made was not saved. But then now: Very interesting landscape renders, Spuddy. I like the first one that you posted on its own best, due to the lights.
Nice idea with the boat, Horo and good landscape in the background. The gritstone hill renders is really very good. Lovely terrain.
My last one started out as just a landscape (copied a couple of times). Then I decided it looked like a quarry or so, and therefore I added some machinere from Turbosquid (the excavator) and Archive3D (the truck). The sky is a preset, of which I only moved the sun around (I think). Took some time to get a sky that I liked with the scene. Render with true ambience.
Mermaid010, that sky is glorious! Such a beautiful scene.
Spuddy, your terrain looks great with the snow mat on it. Very cold looking.
Horo, super interesting terrain...so detailed.
Hansmar, love the additon of the earth moving equipment; makes a wonderful scene.
Thanks NGartplay
Hansmar - very nice render, love the addtion of the excavator and the truck, the sky is awesome.
spuddy : beautiful terrain, the snow material, the lighting all very well done.
Horo : great detailed terrain, nice sky and clouds.
Hansmar : Awesome scene, dramatic sky.
Hansmar - thank you. You scene with the earth mover is not nice as such but superbly well done.
Thank you NGartplay and adbc.
I started this by following David Brinnens video tutorial "AOLS remix combined render setup";
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvMDkUFH_Bc
You could use any meshes you want with the tutorial but I already did have the items from "Fifty Funky Shapes and Fifty Funky Metals" and
"Bryce 7 Pro Abstract Wallpapers", both by David and Horo which was used in the video tutorial. Thanks to both of you guys, awesome assets!
AS, those are amazing materials on such a cool object. Is the light coming from the materials?
Yup correct, no actual lights, the glass/mesh lights the scene.
It's a technique I'll absolutely use again.
AgentSmith : cool object, beautiful shiny material.
AgentSmith - this came out awesome.
NGartplay & adbc - Thank you!
Horo - Well, thanks to you guys it did. BTW, I am fascinated with your guys' "Bryce 7 Pro Abstract Wallpapers" and the "Is anyone game?" thread, it's a ritual of techniques in Bryce I am TOTALLY foreign to doing. I've been chipping away at it, hopefully something interesting will be made...eventually, lol.
AgentSmith – that came out very nice, I like the shiny object.
A Wings 3D object lit by the Leadenhall Market, Agentsmith linked in the previous page (thanks for the link), the object has the default mat with 50% reflections and the ground plane has 10% reflections. TA render, 255Rpp, with soft shadows.
