Oh wow, Pensacola is already getting pounded by Tropical Storm Hannah's outer bands. The bands are almost solid red and orange. In about an hour and a half, some bands in the Gulf below Panama City appear (in a future loop) to be rotating up and over my area. And of course, bands "train" over the same area for a bit. Going to be interesting. (In a bad way I think.)
Anyway, I'm off the computer for awhile, but want to share with you the Photoshop plugins I'm looking at over at Envato/Graphic River. (go to GraphicRiver.net) Can't post links as they're commercial, but here's the vendor and the products. The water ones would be fun to add splashes to your scenes, and I love rainy windows!
These are all between 6 and 8 dollars. Unlimited use.

Nice plugins, unfortunately, I don't use photoshop told them where they could go after they deactivated my standalone product and told me I had to buy a subscription a number of years ago
so I use Corel and GIMP instead
Is that a modified texture file from a Daz product? I don't think posting that is allowed.
Never thought of that Just trying to be helpful.
I've removed the image. It is not permissible to distribute modified textures from a product, unless that product explicitly allows for it in its license or read me.
I saw that. I went back to remove it myself after reading the post from barbult.
Want to point out an outfit from Genesis 3. First, look at the main promo for Keres Outfit. Just seeing that one, I probably wouldn't click on it. Although I did buy it LOL. But I found that outfit on a character and thought, "Wow, what outfit is that?" Take a look at how beautifully Lyoness rendered it on LY Arden! I think Arien and Mada made a mistake by not promoting this as elegant. The headpiece is from Odessa Hair, it's linked. Thanks Lyoness for providing what was used in the promos!
Keres' scale mail chest piece in particular is great! I bought the outfit after stumbling across this render.
Its diffuse map has blood stains baked in, but you can easily get rid of those by replacing the diffuse map with the bump map.
I wishlisted the outfit a couple of years ago after seeing Lyoness' render too. It is so pretty. Using zombies and such to try and promote sales of clothing is a definate hinderance to purchase for a lot of people. And for zombie story telling fans? I can't imagine that most of them care whether or not their zombies are dressed to the 9s.
Oops! Well, I am sure that I can just do this myself also, presumably clone brush in photoshop should handle it. Thanks anyway though.
Got a phonecall from Mom, not the kind you want to get. Yes, her roommate has the virus. Mom is 92 years old. They have moved Mom to another room so they can thoroughly disinfect the room.
Then it gets better. I decided to check my voicemails from unknown numbers, and dialed one, thinking it would be an office number. Poor gal, it was a homephone, from an activities employee. I woke her up (it was only 10 o'clock which on a weekend isn't that late, but I normally don't call people after 9pm. I thought I was dialing a business number!) and she laughed and said no problem. She asked if this was (my mom)'s daughter and I said "Yep. That's me!" We talked awhile and she said the staff is SO stressed, the residents VERY depressed, and I said I'd bring Ci Pwff over for her to walk around to the patio doors. I didn't want him exposed to the virus, plus with his long fur, he would be a surface area to transmit the virus to the residents due to multiple petting. She said, "Honey, why don't you bring him yourself? You're allowed on the property."
WHAT??????????
"It's been OVER A MONTH. The families can make appointments to come visit through the patio doors. We bring in speakers and (blah blah blah.)"
YOU COULD PROBABLY SEE THE STEAM COMING OUT MY EARS AT THAT POINT. (Not mad at her. At least SHE told me.)
So I'm going through all my voicemails to see if I missed this little tidbit. It's possible, but I listen to voicemails every day, because of Mom. So I've missed a MONTH out of Mom's life??? When I could have been visiting her!!!!!!!
Anyway, Ci Pwff is about to become a senior living facility patio door regular. :) Jennifer and I are chatting Monday and setting up visits several times a week. She'll be on the inside with the resident, Pwff and I will be on the outside. I'm thinking about asking Elaine if she'd like to dress up the ponies like she does for Pony Parties and bring them out one time with me. There's a nice huge yard on one side, the other side is the parking lot but even that is fine as long as the ponies aren't trotting. Many horses here don't have shoes due to the soft sand and grass, we don't ride on roads.
Going to give you a tip which works a lot of the time, not always as weather changes. When you watch videos showing future path projections, you'll see the lines showing the pressures. Normally storms skirt the rims and are guided by the pressure. (It depends on how strong the pressure is.) If you go to this video showing the latest invest, let it load then put your mouse on :20 in the video. Now pull your mouse slowly along the timeline and watch those lines. You're looking for multiple lines together (which means more strength.) Those lines stay pretty straight and solid, no gaps in between which would allow the system to curve much so no fish storm. Let's see how those pressure areas pan out five days from now.
At :27 those lines keep it to the South of Cuba and the lines are long and straight, and that's as far out as it goes. The lines did an excellent job of the Hanna hit btw. Even without the meteorologists guiding the narrative, it was interesting to watch the pressure lines guiding the storm. Everyone remember trackthetropics.com and tropicaltidbits.com as the season ramps up. :)
Edit- Here's the trackthetropic spaghetti models. As the pressure lines change in the upcoming days, it will be interesting to see how the spaghetti models change. :) These, however, show a bit more curve and may be Florida east coast, or cutting across? As always, too far out at this point to really know.
In case you're interested, here's the GFS model showing 92L curving along Florida (but not close) and then the Carolinas may have a problem. This is the 222nd hour from now. Just click the hours to move it forward or backward. So East Coast may get a visitor later next week/early the week after, but on the GFS, after a close brush, it' curves and stays offshore. This is a big storm right now though, not small like Hanna. And even with Hanna, we got three days of rain all the way over here in Pensacola. Hanna was lower Texas!
@Novica, I have been worried for your mom, and I will hold tight to positive thoughts for her. Ci Pwff will be a great treat. Looking at my own white furball at my feet, I can just imagine it.
Mary
They will definitely appreciate that. Wish we could get this virus under control so your mom and others don't have to worry so much and can see and hug their loved ones.
Oh I'm sorry to hear about your Mum's room-mate - I do hope you Mum is OK. At least your pet-accompanied visits may cheer her up.
I have been experimenting with combining my latest purchase Darius 8 with other figures in my collection
The top right figure is 60% Darius and 40% Jeroyn
The bottom left figure is 40% Darius and 60% Armand which makes his face slimmer.
The bottom right figure is 40% Darius and 60% Briar. The bottom 2 figures use FW Denton Skin and eyes.
I hope your Mom will be OK. I can't imagine what you're going through. Life sucks but that's all we got.
Thanks all :) I talked to her several times a day yesterday. The good news is a gal named Scottie who is a CPN works Fri-Monday and does her laptop work in mom's room and keeps her company alot during those days. That's who my sister sends her photos to, and then Scottie shows Mom. I'm the letter writer during the week, and I print out the iphone photos directly into my letter. So Mom gets mail.
Here's my question- what can I type in to go directly to a page in the Product Library, say page 150? This click through crap is ridiculous. We used to be able to type in a page number in the url, it said =(pagenumber) and all you had to do was change it. Not anymore! So how do I fast forward through all the pages and pick an exact page?
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/394586/new-novica-forum-members-tips-product-reviews-pt-13/p7 would take you to page 7, for example. (Thread URL with /p7 at the end).
@barbult Hey, sorry, I had to run errands. I already tried that, it doesn't work. I put a /p7 and I'm still on page 1.
It works for me. If I change the 7 to another number, like 12, it opens page 12 and shows 12 in bold on the list of page numbers at the tob and bottom of the page. I am using Chrome on Windows 10, if that makes any difference. I wouldn't think so.
Show me exactly the entire URL that that didn't work.
Try using the URL that I linked and just change the page number to see what happens. Does that work for you?
Adding the p7 works for forum pages but doesn't appear to work for the product library.
Are you two talking at cross-purposes? I thought Novica was asking about pages in the Product Library, but barbult seems to be talking about pages in the forum?
ETA: And I see the same thing in my 210-page Product Library - a bit annoying sometimes but at least the search function seems to work.
Yes, I am talking about the forum. That is the URL I included in my post. I was unaware that Novica was talking about the Product Library. I didn't read her message carefully, I guess. As Emily Litella would say "Nevermind".
Well thanks anyway @Barbult :) And it's REALLY annoying with a lot of pages. I KNOW we used to be able to put a page number at the end of the URL for the Product Library and go to that page. That changed years ago. Why they mess with things that aren't broken.... :(
The recent web page change that really annoys me is that giant black banner at the bottom of the page. It sometimes hides other important page elements. I reported it with a help request, but no improvement has been made since then.
Well... as a workaround, it can be hidden with AdBlock Plus...
Thank you! I have Adblock Plus installed. I didn't know it could do that. Block Element worked perfectly. There were three separate elements to block in that banner. Now they are gone, out of my way.
Ci Pwff and I had a good time visiting Mom, and the visit was set up for Mom's patio (she is still in the other room, as they were santizing/deep cleaning hers due to the roommate having the virus.) Jennifer, who works in Activities, saw how well Ci Pwff was adjusting (he'd never been anywhere) and volunteered to take him inside so Mom could pet him. She asked if she could take him to several rooms and I said "Of course. That's what he's here for." There was a senior man who had been really depressed, and he perked right up when he petted Pwff. Was going to give him one of his morning sausages LOL but Jennifer said, "No, I don't know what his diet is, but he may throw that up in Cathie's car." (BLESS HER!) I had forgotten Pwff's treats on the kitchen island, but next time he's going to have some for that man to give him.
Mom draped her arm around Pwff and just let her arm run the length of his back. He's so fluffy it's just impossible not to dive right in to that fur. She had the biggest smile! This is the first time she's seen him.
So I took these of Jennifer (hot pink scrubs) in case Azaela Trace wanted to share in a newsletter/ see if anyone is interested in a doggie visit. Pwff got a bath at 3:30am and I'll tell you what, I am investing in one of those standing dog washstations. With that hair, it took an hour and a half to wash and semi dry him.
