A doctor actually smiling when where I've never seen one do that even when I was working in healthcare

I think they smile just before they say "this is not going to hurt"

And to Novica: fingers crossed for that false positive, or failing that for mild symptoms only.

Here's a couple more observations as I work my way through files- and if there's any you found things of interest, please feel free to share.  Some of the titles are making me shake my head in amusement, when I get to the product image, I'm like, "Ohhhhhhh. Well, that's interesting." Such as Garden Bed.

Dystopian Desert Destruction Kit  has land with a flatten morph, and a burning building which may be good for distant renders/background.
Garden Bed  What do you think when you read that? Furniture or a landscaped area?  It's furniture.

I was completely confused by garden bed, as well!  When I hear garden bed, I think of a bed of flowers.  As in, a nice tended spot of ground where flowers have been planted.  I was not expecting an outdoor sleeping bed!

As I've been working on my patio as well as my yard I wasn't really surprised though I would've preferred some good flower and garden beds for yard scenes

Well, we already have a Garden Bathroom, so I wasn't really surprised.

I wasn't sure what, but having lived in New Mexico where you sleep on the porch in summer (pre-AC days) and in Athens where many people had beds on their balconys to sleep on also in summer, to catch a breeze off the Med. Again, no AC. Not sure how I will use it, if ever.

I think it was the NYT that had a picture of a garden where the head gardener noted you had to have a routine of 'pulling weeds' to keep it looking beautiful. The image was lovely.

I've seen them from a couple of hundred dollars on up past outrageous depending on size, style and what's included

Of course, some of the low-end ones looked somewhat like an Army cot with a sunshade attached to one end

I relayed your wishes and Mom says "Hello!"  She was hilarious this morning. She said, and I quote, "If they don't let me go back to my room after 14 days,  we're going to have a talk!"  That's my girl!

Ci Pwff after we got home. Two of the other dogs were wrestling and playing tug-o-war with HIS toy. How dare they?

As I'm sorting through my files- Rather interesting hippopatumus water fountain:  Accentus  Also note you get several interior rooms of that home. Anyone rendered this?  The yard is really unique.

And he's only had two baths in four months :)  I don't let him stay outside very long or get too hot. (Well, he does, this is Florida.) He shoots out the back door, races around for about five minutes, putzes for another 2-3, then it's inside to air conditioning, a window air conditioner for the nook / dogs, and a spare high velocity fan (Stetson's) for a floor fan. He gets brushed three to four times a week and I absolutely LOVE doing that. It's like cuddling with a huge teddy bear!

On another topic- I hope you folks on the East Coast managed to avoid the tornadoes with the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaias. So sad to see those, and four houses on fire due to electrical malfunction (I think was wind, not water. They didn't identify the source.)  Thinking about you in New York and surrounding states. Can't wait for this to blow out of your area. I looked at a live graphic from TrackTheTropics and there are seven more blobs coming along east to west headed for the coast, and the last three are big in size compared to the current storm. Not all form up of course, but it just showed how active that region is getting (perhaps more than usual for early August.)

https://www.metoc.navy.mil/fwcn/products/images/000hr_AOR_00Z.jpg?   If you want to keep track of this one, when you go to trackthetropics.com just scroll down the page and look for the graphic that says Surface Analysis, it's easy to spot on the right further down the page. It's this graphic, only bigger, so look for the ocean.

Already off the coast, don't know how organized this is going to be.  https://dsx.weather.com/util/image/map/DCT_SPECIAL11_1280x720.jpg

Does anyone know if the PW Cliff Road includes that water or not? It's not listed, just "sea barrier" so I am assuming not. Anyone rendered it?

I don't have this set, but I checked the filelist in the Read Me. There are some files listed to support water:

    • /data/PW Productions/PW Cliff Road/Water/UV Sets/PW Productions/Base/default.dsf
    • /data/PW Productions/PW Cliff Road/Water/Water.dsf

Still going product by product (rather fun, actually.) Apparently FE Sauna Room is no longer in the store. I'm trying to remember- who is FE and did they pull a lot of things from the store?

FE is RareStone and Fesoul together. One of their items that isn't pulled is this one: https://www.daz3d.com/fe-modern-study

FE is FeSoul, who has collaborated with RareStone on several products. Quite a number of FE products have been pulled from the store; No reason given, of course. I find it interesting one of those pulled, the FE Chinese Tea Restaurant, now includes downloads for Blender, C4D, MAX and Maya on the Product Library page, (here, if you've already purchased the product.)

ETA: I see @Nath beat me to it! lol

Silver Willows Bedroom is also not available anymore. On another site found the authors to be Daz Originals Illumination Imagine X.   I bought it May 10th, just a couple months ago. When I click to show only owned in Imagine X page it doesn't show up. This is why I do NOT go by the "there's always another sale" mantra. Yeah, but a product you want may not be there.

Stickman has a lot of cartoon props. What is the Y with the two hashes through it? I recognize the pound (money) sign but not the Y.

    Thanks @nath  @gordig :)

What's annoying is to have some products marked Inactive yet others simply are missing the product page link.  Daz needs to get consistent! One thing the webteam needs to fix, is when I have two windows open, they have a note at the bottom of the Product Library to use a larger "veiw."

    Here's to your mother!

A report from New Jersey.  We had a very heavy winds and about 6" of rain locally.  A weather station a few miles from here recorded 109 mph wind gusts.  Lots of flooding, downed trees.  Our power came back about about 26 hours - over a million homes are still without power and the estimated time for bringing everyone back is ten days to two weeks,  Parts of Long Island were clobbered.  The Long Island Railroad was hit harder than in Superstorm Sandy.

@escrandall  So glad you've got your power back on, and hope the city and state have the resources to start with all the debris and get essentials handled. The updated hurricane predictions from Colorado State are now for a "very active" season (seriously, ya think????) and it's going to be a staggering amount of hurricanes if the new forecast comes true.

Named storms went 16 up to 24, average each year is 12
Hurricanes upped from 8 to 12, average is 6   They increased that by FOUR!
Major Hurricanes went from 4 to 5, average is 3.

Even Category 1 and 2 Hurricanes pack a punch, as we all know. So having TWELVE hurricanes of any type won't be fun unless more of them are fish storms. Here's hoping for more "headed north in the middle of the Atlantic." :)

Your Mom is beautiful!  So glad she is doing well and spunky!!  Ci Pwff is gorgeous and I know the seniors love thier visits with him.

I had contacted Envato about thier usage rights with the market place and Elements, this was the response:

To answer your question about what happens to licenses after you cancel your subscription; you can only use Envato Elements items that you have registered for specific projects or end uses. Once registered they retain a valid license after your subscription ends, so long as you complete the End Product while your subscription is active. But for trial licenses, free files and everything else, you'll need to remove the Items from any associated product, project or end-use.

Maybe im dense but I still don't think I understand about End Product?  If your using actions on multiple images that to me says more then one end product. Which is fine as long as you hold a subscription but to me $16 a month is a little steep at least for what I do. If I was in the business and needed to use more often then I could see a use in it.  On the other hand if you purchase through the Market as long as it has a Tool Licenses then it is yours to use unlimited.

  • NovicaNovica Posts: 23,887

@daventaki  Yeah, I don't like the restrictions of accounting to anyone what I am using a tool for. "Specific products", for example. And what if you want to change something on that project- you have to pay again to activate the product. No thank you. I buy all the plug-ins, own them, and putz when I want. They're only $6-8.00 apiece and I just space it out for the most part. Also, what happens if some of the ones you really like get discontinued/ pulled before you ever participate? I buy outright the good ones while they're offered and get those suckers downloaded!  I have at least six which are no longer available (and yeah, they were on the external, but also on my laptop. No dummy here, at least for those!)

Sounds to me the subscription is for folks who know what they want to do, or who enjoy experimenting with a wide range of products. Then perhaps those are available for purchase, or not. Someone else in a PM identified several that I had, which weren't offered at all, but some of their other products were available. So the subscription route works for folks, just not for everyone. (Including me. Just because I buy something doesn't mean I'll use it right away. So why keep paying a monthy usage fee?)

Hey Florida folks- this article is interesting. I thought the southern tip of Florida would be the most hurricane prone area for Florida. Wrong. Turns out it's my area!
