"я могу говорить"
Playing with dramatic contrast - inspired by Tarkovsky in "The Mirror"
A pretty nifty little cheap product is "Mediterranean Backgrounds". I think it's well worth the price.
A characher from a game I know little of called Death Standing. Not into the game or the fandom. but several characters I bought have good interchangeable costume bits.Plus, this character has a good quality head morph and hair included.
Mixed it up with another character's outfit.
Rendering a Skull
Images combining Daz3D content and 3d scans. Youtube tutorial uploading tomorrow.
Update:
A bit of mix and match with a male figure.
Image below using:
Moped
dForce Downtime Casual for Genesis 8 Male(s)
Previous images are variations off a model of Samuel Drake, Jeb and Achilles
Updating an old render:
Here's an old render that got some update work in Daz
Products Used:
Updated version:
After a bit of messing around in Daz. It is a bit more retro and contrasty in addition to a little bit of environment fog and lens distortion. It's fun to sometimes go back and open an old idea or render and see what you can do to spice it up.
And a just for fun render because at least where I am, there is still remnants of last weeks snow. I am grateful that there is still winter in this world. :)
Nice eclectic mix Raduka, lovely images!
The mime (coloured) really stands out for me.
@Paintbox Thank you. I may try an updated one in color too with the soft focus and revised lighting. I think it is more atmospheric.
On a separate note... Man! I am trying to figure out this error. Every time I set the materials and they are working. Then as I save the scene, after I reopen the file, the materials are reverted to some bogus broken location in
\My Daz Connect Library\data\cloud\1_9927\runtime\textures\npr\chin
Formerly they were set to:
\My DAZ 3D Library\Runtime\Textures\NPR\Chin
Why would the path of the materials that I set and saved keep changing after saving. It is as if the ujpdated save isn't really happening. I even saved under a new filename?
Also, I reinstalled the file completely from DIM.
Not sure what is going on here.
After saving it gets messed up
Not sure how to fix this product. adding it to a scene, saving it and reopening it corrupts the surface image paths
The file path says "cloud" ... do you install with Smart Content perhaps? Smart content can have the odd problem or so I hear. Anyway I can't think of a solution at this moment.
@painitbox. No, I try not to. I only install via DIM. It is very strange and confusing behavior.
Good Jeans
I was looking at some body scans that turn out to be rather pricey, and the problem with buying body scans is that they are static and can't be moved. One benefit is realism in the way fabric falls more naturally as seen directly below.
That said, I am aware of some really quality clothing items made lately to fit and work with Daz figures. Below is an example using some of them. Many are available outside of Daz store, I wonder however if people here have some favorite lets call it "drip" LOL that give a good appearance on the figure and maybe have some good pull morphs like partially tucked shirts or rolled up sleeve morphs, etc?
The shirt on the guy is not a good example as the shoulders look like they have been inflated by air and all wrinkles removed. Her shoulders however show some nice natural wrinkles. That is what I would like in a men's shirt too. Her sweatshirt BTW is from G8 Mega Wardrobe.
Some examples of natural clothes that I am looking for for both male and female figures are:
I think the jeans from the Urban Survivor set actually can be coaxed to give a pretty natural and not stiff look as shown below.
A cat and a window - Something other than human life depicted here. A cat and passing time.
I'm, sure the new and improved Siberian for Cat Zeus would look great in that window versus the Millenium Cat.
I forgot I already have Daz House Cat which has simulated hair for a better look. I'm going to render an image of that up. The difference beetween Millennium Cat and Daz Housecat is quite striking actually.
Siberian Cat - Tuxedo color
Lovely playful renders!
@paintbox Thank you. I want to play with a few variations of the tuxedo variety with different markings. I used to have two tuxedo cats. One named Sumi and another named Momo.
Just began doing a YouTube thing. Right now they are silent, but hopefully after I get things figured out, I will do some dialogue and some useful subjects that are a biit different from most of the other channels. Hopefully I get some subscribers and some new ideas for videos.
Zeus
Test renders of a dresser with different materials.
Found Dagger
These are so adorable renders, and poses and all about them!
@vyusur That's fantastic you appreciate them. Zeus and the Siberian cat are really lovely and a lot of fun. I was thinking up some more poses, but I have had no luck rendering in Iray since I updated to Daz 4.20. I am trying figure out to repair my install so that I can make some more.
Update: Think I got it. Had to update my Nvidia Geforce drivers.
Posing Bug
I have the most bizarre thing happening. I have a figure that is Genesis 8 Female taking poses that are made for Genesis 8 Female. When I set a pose, parts of the body get strangely deformed. Look what is happening to the thigh here. Just crazy!
If memory serves, the problems is with Flex Quad Left and Flex Quad Right. Deja Vu all over again . . .

@algovincian Thank you! That did it. Funny that a bug from 2018 popped up again.
Just a few random renders testing my new Macbook Pro M1 environment. Have been away dealing with a surgery recovery. Looking forward to being back more.
Hope you feel better after surgery!
@rosseliani Thank you. Have had quite a year leading up to it. But, I think I have passed through that tunnel and into the sun so to speak. :)
Here are some outfit tests. Really like this one. The hair is DForce Roxi Hair
That blouse has some really excellent qualities how it falls.
Also have been playing with a neighborhood set. Liking it, but it is supposed to have some trees loading too. Trying to figure that one out. In the last render I added a few trees manually.
I really would like to find a kit for building cityscapes or neighborhoods with uneven altitudes, by that I mean rolling hills and valleys. Guess that would kind of be a holy grail of sorts.
:)
