A pianist I was working on. Looking for some older aging hair for this one.
Trying out several police flak jackets. You just cannot actually fit them to the character or they get distorted in a ridiculous manner. Just have to
load them up and parent them to the chest without fitting.
Update on the piano player. I bought the Grand Piano which actually has posable keys which is quite cool!
Playing with UltraScenery and having fun. Definitely a fan!
Playing more with UltraScenery. This time, I purchased Ultra Scenery Pacific Northwest
A cart in the road
A station wagon from a few angles in a UltraScenery Pacific NW setting.
A custom made feature using UltraScenery. Just a first attempt...
Same features but different ecology
Playing with Nature Broken Trees - Pack 1 to give the forest scenes some beautiful organic broken elements
Originally, I thought of adding blackberries, but I had a set of currants already without randomly spending $10. Currants would fit with
the scene ecology as well, I think.
Catching a candid conversation among the trees
Just a Thought:
If you are having trouble with boring renders, it may be either due to either one or both actually of the following.
Learn about the two of them before delving into Photoshop Filters. You can get more bang for a little knowledge of coomposition and lighting.
Don't get mired in the technical details. Good art is enhanced by technology. It isn't technology that makes good art.
That reminds me of this page from Andrew Loomis' book. The points apply in many cases also to digital art. I also hilighted the part about
multiple mediums because that also applies to stacking multiple effects and filters. Keep it simple IMHO. As if you asked... but hey, at least
it is my thread that I can ramble in.
:)
Went a little crazy and took advantage of the"Flash Sale"
Picked up these items
That gives me a little something to render this weekend.
:)
Here is a black & white render (for dramatic effect) if FG Pirate Bar
Getting some early Hitchcock vibes like the "Jamaica Inn" (1939).
Jamaica Inn 1939 (Alfred Hitchcock)
Sticking with the black & white thing... here is a setup with Street Vignette
Just bought these Jelly Shoes for anyone who remembers them in the 80's and 90's...
Also picked up a few other items that were part of a sale related to purchasing one new item.
Alanis, Ellison and Bramble
Of the three, I like the materials quality of Bramble the best.
Even with the same Bramble materials copied to all three models, I think I prefer in General the Bramble shaping.
Just a random render of the Gothic Library that was part of one of last week's sale.
And in the background is Tranquility Gardan also a part of that same sale.
New Custom Character Alex
New Male Character Matej
Matej in Venice
It seems odd to me, but I am finally getting around to arranging my 3rd party stuff in separate mapped folders to keep them all separate from DS content.
I had never taken the time to integrate them but now this makes it much mor convenient to load them converting them to proper props and material presets.
Roller Skater
The Escape
An intermission...
Jumped on the balloons yesterday as they were $1.99
Magic of Cappaddocia
Sailors and Ships
Technically, the uniform is wrong as the Coast Guard converted in the late 60s or early 70s to the ODU uniform consisting of blue
fatigues and a ball cap sort of hat.
I wonder if there is an existing outfit or combination of elements that could be easily converted to such a modern USCG ODU uniform?
A character - Ms Curly
Character - Valentina
Forgot to simulate the outfit above.
Valentina
Valentina in another setting, this time with
I reworked the custom character's skin with RY Perfectly Imperfect Skin 2 and Merchant Resource for Genesis 8 Female
Now, I need to work on the textures and blemishes a little bit to up the organic quality.
Here are some test renders pulling a few expressions:
Decided to use Behind the Neighborhood by DzFire to continue the comic panels. Here are a few renders before setting up the panels.
Comic Panel 4 and 5 - The Chase
A little test render based on a movie scene. I do love diner scenes.
