My ongoing mess of unfinishedness

Improved an old set with some new things I've tried. I'm able to fiddle with textures again since my son bought me a decent photoshop to replace my beloved old one {not supported in Vista, grr).

Trying to get the feel of my EQ2 half elf Assassin.

no postwork.

Oooooh nice, like the outfit combination and the lighting :)

Makes me think of the good old days when I was still playing EQ2 (Lucan D'lere roleplaying server back then :) ). I should probably get back into doing some more fantasy renders ...

She won't be messed with. Enough said.

    Also, I have a soft spot for half-elves :)

Thanks, that is the look I wanted :)

Half elves are best. I love your half elf characters in your Renders.

I don't know what I'll work on next. I know that if I keep fussing with Teofa I will wreck her.

I guess I'm the same with this stuff as in games, stuck at character creation. I have sooo many alts.

Anyhow, another Ayr'Dal I have been messing with. Hopefully Wilmap won't get too annoyed at what I do with her wonderful gifts.

I'll get on making a world for these girls, honest.

Fun thing about half elves.. whatever the "halfs" are.

One girl is pretty High Elvish.. the other, kinda Shrub Elvish.

(the one in back we don't talk about, they don't exist)

As far as I got. Any crits accepted, I have a list myself. I have to write down all I find or I forget.

or I look at the image I just posted and realized I have not changed her boots to scuffed brown still. /facepalm.

It's hard to say which gal I like best- so it'll be a tie. I'm sure Wilmap is pleased, I would be! :)

working on a 3rd char now, my "token" Human. hmmm. 12 EQ2 chars and I have.. One.

More mayhem done to Wilmap's clothes, her tunic this time. Still fiddling with chainmail textures, I don't want to pull a set off the net.

Still fiddling, I think I like the second, now to deal with the texture stretch.

reworked another oldie. So much easier now with a real comp instead of the kerosene Abacus I had before.

Title is still "Time Out Time"

Time Out Time is too funny! And that dragon, priceless. I'd love to be a fly on the wall hearing THAT conversation!

  • edited December 1969

I like the boy's pose! Very guilty.
For the chainmail, have you considered giving syndaril's shaders a try (assuming you're using DAZ)?
They're see-through, but I've kind of "refurbished" them as UberSurface shaders with a fabric texture underneath and extra-strong displacement to fake a chainmail with clothing underneath. The advantage of this method is you don't have to worry about stretching.

thank you. I spent hours trying to make a dragon look scolded. For some reason, it is not a preset.

Raindrop, I am going to try to use your advice, but I'm utterly lost on shaders, another thing to learn.

Oh, happy of happy days. I finally pried loose enough unspent change to actually purchase something, the V5 bundle for Genisis, so today has been play day, and ofc I'm making chars and not sets :(

    Teo, Kesa and Enata.

Kesa, in the middle, is my Warden. Enata is Teir'Dal, and in spite of that flunked every magical aptitude test known to Norrath, and so is a Guardian and just bashes things.

a little set-piece render I made for a friend, her Guild Wars warrior.
Also my first real success with uber-environment lighting.

Just for fun, I made a Dwarf. Not just any dwarf, but the V5 of Dwarven beauty.

I hope her image is not too scandalous as to break the TOS, as even fully clothed, she exudes pure sex appeal.

I just grabbed a random wip figure to show scale. It's obvious Gabi has no chance with Marta on the scene.

I'm thinking I should get the most skimptastic set of armor for her.

Its funny, she started off as a halfling, and I just went goofy on morphs.

Well I found a free set. All humor aside, I am keeping this figure as a dwarf to use :). She looks so Tuff.

I doubt however, that she will be wearing skimp :)

Love it! I'm so tired of seeing only male dwarves and besides I can see Marta is a real personality.

The lighting in Falbala D'Aldorande is just beautiful. I like the 'moodiness' of the others and the story-telling too, sorry you pulled them.

I agree with Jindi. Why can't a dwarf be sexy? Even if it is only to other dwarves.

Definitely a nice character, though she does look a bit "tall" for a dwarf. She looks to be close to, if not a little over 5'. Dwarves typically top out at 4'. How tall is she?

Marta looks great. Female dwarves don't get enough respect/attention...I have a female dwarf character myself, that I've been meaning to dial up in DAZ Studio (but haven't gotten around to it yet). I like the hobbit version too.
