And the closeup of Kim, took awhile to render.
Kim is posted onto Lee who is on G2M.
I find his skin easy to light- at first I thought "This one might be pale" but it wasn't difficult. I used gray/blues on two of the lights.

BTW- KUDOS to the vendor for making the teeth with a bit of dusky mauve- no Pepsodent bright white unrealistic teeth! Shown with no adjustments.

The punches for last week are still not there so keep an eye out for that. Since it's the exact same problem they had two weeks ago, hopefully they'll remember how to fix it.

Wanted to mention- take a peek at this one, even if you are not buying the guillotine- there are fifty poses and you can use them for a variety of situations- I think even the gallows setup could use some of these.

Pleas forgive the intrusion, RRRR voting is here. Lots of really good renders to chose from as well.

Also I really like that render of the people in the field Jindi. And that green faerie Novica. Nice renders. Yes rotted logs in the woods can be like clouds that resemble things, lol. Just watch your step out on the "Shark Mudflats", lol.

It reminds me of a funny signs book that I have. There is one with a sign that says "Road Closed" and then just several yards away, the driveway in question has a sign that says, "Not A Road."

Thanks for the comment (and the funny shark pic which made me smile) ZDG. KyotoKid was correct about the flower patches -- they are from the Variance Shaders also by DimensionTheory. I also added some Predatron plant props in there to mix it up a bit more. I really like Predatron's plants and trees.

I've been enjoying all these Asian guy renders. Kim looks like he'd be perfect for a character I'd originally created in Genesis... the poor guy had to make do with a female skin texture which obviously wasn't ideal even for facial realism. It was also good to see a render of Kasper, I haven't seen much of him anywhere and he has an interesting face.

Master Chen also looks versatile, especially with some hair added -- thanks for showing a different side to him, Luci. All these young warriors (stereotyping at its best!) could use an older and wiser father figure.

I've really loved the asian guy renders. Really love Master Chen with the North hair.

btw there is a $5 off $33 currently on the rotating banner in the store.

Don't miss this free item. (for PC. Otherwise, you buy something. Same old, same old.)

Thank you Anikad- if you hadn't mentioned it, I would have not seen it. When I last checked it hadn't been there.

I did have to grin though- I loaded my cart and waited to check in the afternoon and there was the $33 offer. HAH. For once I didn't have a darn it moment. Early this morning, the spend $20 and get $10 off was also active again (but I'm thinking it was a glitch.) I have so many DO's it's hard enough trying to use my punch discount.

Trousseau 2 For Genesis 2 Female(s) (Frances Coffill)
    Beau For Stephanie 6 (DAZ3D / Artemis3D)

    http://www.daz3d.com/frances-coffill/trousseau-2-for-genesis-2-female-s
    http://www.daz3d.com/beau-for-stephanie-6

Now for "I'm sure you know" discussion-
If you want clothes with absolutely fantastic flow and morph choices, two vendors that immediately come to mind are Aave and Frances.

    http://www.daz3d.com/aave-nainen
    http://www.daz3d.com/frances-coffill

You know when you buy from these two, the morphs are going to be outstanding. I bought the Trousseau gown. WOW.

In the description, all it says is:
    "Strapless Dress
Classic white, snug fit with an ample flounce. Loaded with morphs for fitting, style and movement.(includes a "Sit" starter Pose and Morph)"

Loaded is right! Almost every section of that dress can be moved, increased, adjusted. If you're like me, you get tired of moving one section just to have it ruin the section you just fixed prior to that. Tweak here, ruin something else. This dress has tweaks that work together and can be easily adjusted so it flows nicely.

The options are amazing. Striding forward with the left foot? No problem. Right? Yep. Need more width on the right? Sure.

Frances will have you SPOILED. If you haven't shopped Frances' store- go take a peek. :)

These are just the ShapeMove morphs, none of the Adjust are shown! (breasts, hips, shins, etc.)

    Renders coming up.

@Novica: Kim's skin looks good on Lee base.

I succumbed today and picked picked up the Guillotine poses. I think they might be useful for generic prisoner watching scenes. Also picked up an Antfarm set, and the horror survivors Marius. The clothing in the set looks nicely detailed and we need more of that for men. Plus, it has a nice knit cap. Love that. =-)

Novica, thanks for posting that link for the Swing...I didn't see it anywhere in the store...is there a special page where these are listed? I almost missed the last one too as I didn't find it in the store but followed a link someone posted.

I am experimenting with lights as this white is proving to be a tad bit challenging. I've tested Enchanted Island, Angkor Wat, and a few others. At the moment I'm at The Oasis (Easy Environments) and taking them all off red. Will post shortly. This one is such a hodge podge I can't really say what it came from! (Just wanted you to see the dress- this lighting lacks too much detail.)

Note the flow of the dress- so cool.

EDIT: ADDED: Added another one but it is showing FIRST.(blue background.) It's the lights from The Oasis. Still could tweak, but you can see the dress details.

Yes thanks did find that in the email, also found an email that must have showed up real late yesterday for 5.00 off only good yesterday. what's the point in sending it out so late that I don't see it therefore can't use it!! Geez I don't spend 24/7 on here or in my emails. Curious to know, did everyone get that coupon?

I'm trying to remember- I think that was also in the rotating banner on the New Releases page- I can't find my email because I delete them by the end of the day or after I use them. I understand the frustration- Anikad posted about that discount earlier and I would have missed it. :)

Karine is shown on G2F, not Olympia. The vendor did a nice job of providing both options clearly. With Olympia, the face was more chiseled and harsher IMO- not a bad thing, just not what I wanted. The body was the same, with a bigger bust.

Wanted to show you this dress because it's 70% off right now. And unless I am mistaken, there aren't hardly any morphs (take a look at the "what's included" on the product page) I went into Actor, I looked for morphs, I broke down the dress and the bust has the right and left pectorals- to SCALE was the only adjustment for that. The dress fit nicely, luckily, but this is not a dress with many morphs. Under Morph Loader there are only two (on floor, and paniers skirt.)

I rendered this all night while watching the lunar eclipse. It's 6:08am and the moon is a nice orange and totally eclipsed! Uranus is also lined up with the Sun, Moon and Earth. They said it would be cool to be on the Moon and looking at Earth, we'd be black with the Sun's fiery orange glow encircling us. I will be able to see the sun rise and the moon will still be out, since I'm in Florida.

    Anyway...
Hmm...until I looked it up, I didn't know I was using an M4 clothing product on M5. It went on without ANY issues. No popups, adjusts, fit-to, nada.

Journeyer Scout goes great with the Lioncourt Dress- the sash has maroon. These two are quite a team!
We've featured Deacon before, he's got great scruff on his face and also comes clean shaven.
Enjoy :) (BTW, that is a section of War Ruins behind them, I wanted to see what it looked like.)

CLICK to enlarge, click again. It looks a bit dark because it is a large render.

The two of them look so good, Novica. And thanks for the info Jindi, I was rebuilding my workstation, again. New heard drive to put the Daz Studio Content on to free up my boot drive. And now I'm going threw the CL trying to locate missing/misplaced stuff, lol. There is so much stuff that vanished from my wishlist the past few months, I don't know what I purchased and can't fined in the CL, and what is outright erased from the face of the earth. A "you got to buy this now, It wont be there next month" e-mail would have been nice, lol. It gives me something to try to build in Hexagon, now. :long:

Free Ivy swing, and item with purchase (Sweet Dreams my pick), I did manage to ketch in time. I've learned the heard way, to wait till I get the email, or at least look at the banners on the front page before checking out. A few times I've missed out on having wishlist (Pleas Don't Cull list) items till more funds have arrived later on, because I missed a promo notification. I could have had that now, now I have to wait, lol. :red:

Well I am pleased to note, I've managed to knock the "I have nothing and need everything list" from a few hundred items, down to 119 as of this morning. Thank you so desperately much Stonemason for holding out on the cull, till I could buy what I wanted. Now I need to sit down and find it all. That Aquatic Containment Facility, is going to be very useful with Level19.

Highly recommend the At Home Poses for M5 V5 because you can take the ones of them sitting on the couch and simply straighten out the legs. Then you'll have a standing pose like Deacons with his arm around her.

The face paint on this isn't right. The paint goes over the hair and of course, the hair would have paint on the strands, etc.
And as you view it, (Same thumbnail) what's with the black line going vertically in the corner of the left eye???

And this one- the top part of the dress has skin showing in a gap on the side. This doesn't tell me enough to know if that gap can be corrected. "Expand all" is not what I want for a top if there's no other morphs, IF that means everything moves at once. What exactly DOES it mean?

I don't want a sliver of skin showing in a fancy dress like this, it looks out of place.

Some of the chest forward ones I would tweak, but I like the finger placements in these poses. Nice job Mattymanx! :)

Yeah, I noticed that too. It doesn't look like paint either.

I am probably going to buy the evil clown. It has a non-clown texture and Sarge hates clowns. So it will work.

I am also thinking about the rock pack. I just can't see how they look close up. Are they sufficient resolution. Oddly, I tend to use rocks a lot as background objects so a pack of them is quite useful.

Did anyone get Voir Pas Mal HD ? I am curious how the texture applies to regular gen 2 figure. I realize probably will have to apply my own eyes, since there are none, but might look interesting on another alien or monster-type figure.

    Good morning SereneNight :)

Heads up folks, as I forget to check Fast Grab- with Halloween coming, $19.95 down to $5.99 is adorable Grimm.
    http://www.daz3d.com/grimm-the-toon-skeleton

Overall, I just don't like the paint on Dolores. Seems too bright and just out of place. As you know, Artemis is one of my favorite vendors, I just don't find this one particularly pleasing.

I bought some things to get to tier 2 so it dropped the price on the Merlin bundle. The Rowan trees for today will go good in a fantasy setting. Other things I picked up that are in the stores in this sale:

    How'd I miss this before?

Hey SereneNight- if you get those rocks, would you post some images? You're right, it's hard to tell anything from the promos. I didn't think they looked very crisp but a bit of bump and displacement would get them....rocking. (Groan.)

I might play with the hair I just got, also got the Jersey character. I'll putz for a few minutes and see what I can do.

EDIT: Wow, the eyemakeup on Jersey is awesome. Doing a quickie face shot for everyone.

I love how the light is caressing her, beautiful render Novica.

If you get a chance, I'd love to hear what you think about the Rowan Trees, they are tempting and you get a lot in the pack.

RawArt gave me a fright with his evil clown, LOL. Poor Sarge doesn't know what's in store for him. I'll pass on that one though I do like his less terrifying work. He also prices it very reasonably considering what a quality artist he is, so you can find some real bargains in his store today for generation 4, Genesis and Genesis 2.

    Jindi,
I'm doing a closeup of Jersey (same lighting, thanks- glad you like it) then I'll do those trees for you. This render is at 34 percent at 34 minutes so it will be half an hour before it's done, then I'll start on the trees. I thought they would go good with Enchanted Glade (with Rowan Trees in the background.)

  • NovicaNovica Posts: 23,887

And the closeup of Jersey and Niaby Hair. It doesn't have any smoothing applied and as you can see, you'll want to add some for closeups to get rid of a few crinkles. Also, watch your camera angle, as part of the bangs (going from our left to the right) seem to float a bit.

Another large render. Click to enlarge, click again.
Will now explore the trees. :)

Jindi, I am rendering the Rowan trees and doing a closeup- using the same lightset (which has a lot of lights) so it's not going ultra fast. I can say I am impressed with the trees as each twig is meticulously attached to the branches and I am so far not seeing any of those horrific squared off bends that can be found in some other tree products.

Enough of it has rendered that I give it a five star rating :) I am doing one of the plush trees so this will take awhile. I don't know how fast or slow it will render if you have a simple lightset, mine has distant, spot, point, linear point, you name it.

At 27% for 15 minutes. Will do a separate post when it's done. If you HAVE to shop now, I'd strongly say, "Get it."
