Sounds great! Thanks for doing this, sounds like it will be a long render but the product will still be half price tomorrow so there's no rush. The berries look so pretty for winter renders. I have been on a tight budget but can always justify good plants and trees.

This is with varied lights, if you are using Advanced lights, UE2, etc it will be evenly distributed. Enjoy! :)

(See how the twigs all attach and the leaves go different directions? Very detailed.)

Baroness Hair for Genesis 2 Female(s) and Victoria 4 (SWAM)
    http://www.daz3d.com/baroness-hair-for-genesis-2-female-s-and-victoria-4

And here's Jersey with Baroness Hair.
I don't like that gold color at the base of the hairline, would have to do postwork to blend in some hair strands. You can't see it very well in the promos, but look at the third thumbnail.

Beautiful! Thank you Novica. Yes, the branches look nice and natural, no sharp angles. I also like that the berries look like they have some weight to them. I'll have to find a way to make this mine.

Baroness looks like a versatile hairstyle and the front 'wave' of hair is especially nice. Agree with you about that hairline issue though.

Hmm yes, I didn't like the front of Baroness Hair so I didn't buy it. Also it sort of annoys me that there is no genesis fit. The tree on the other hand has fallen into my cart. I was debating on whether I really needed another tree!

When I logged into the store there was a banner there telling me I deserved a reward, when I clicked it there was a 10% off coupon which expires tomorrow. So check the store folks, you might have one too.

Also there is a new Stonewalls item that is good for a punch and under $3 or $2 if you're pc.

Rock Model Pack: http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/rock-model-pack by Wanderoo

Rock Model Pack. Believe it or not, I did attempt to put them all in the picture. Ignore the ground. I wanted something flat to display them on.

One thing that struck me is they are smaller than I thought from the promo art. I enlarged the ones in the background, but they aren't big rocks, most are about 2/3 the size of human figure or smaller.

The ones in front of the figure are actual size. The ones in back, I messed around with smoothing them out and making them bigger so they can be seen.

I like the idea that the PA included smoothing of the surfaces. This makes this pack much more versatile since you can change the look of the rocks.

    Good evening- well, good morning.
Anikad- I thought I was losing my mind when that wall product was inserted into the releases. I'm off schedule so slept all afternoon, just got back online slightly before 1am. Store switched over a few minutes later (it's usually 1:13am, they bumped it up. Be aware of that if you are shopping around that time.)

I did see the banner giving me an additional discount. I bought a couple things to bump me over a tier because that banner is making it worth it. That was a smart marketing strategy. That wall was one of the items- thanks DAZ! So now as PC+ it's 50% plus punch plus banner discounts. You may be seeing some new products showcased here :)

Glad you all liked the trees. That's what I was conveying as it was rendering ("Trust me, buy it.") I could tell when it started coming in that the berries were very pretty and the twigs went all directions. I am very impressed!

SereneNight- wow, that's surprising about the rock size. I can see why you were probably thinking "Oh, well look at this..." when they loaded. I It looks to me like they need some bump/displacement?

Hey, perfect timing. Those poses that I mentioned (when I showed you Deacon and Karine, a page back) are in the sale.
    http://www.daz3d.com/bluebird-3d/at-home-poses-for-m5-v5

And HAH! I got the textures for the Anabelle Outfit, the one I told you would look good for a Halloween Party (Little Bo Peep, Alice in Wonderland) and sure enough, now the main outfit IS on sale. Here's links to both- the stores are on different days but both are in the yesterday/today sales.
    http://www.daz3d.com/artemis3d/anabelle-outfit (WildDesigns store)
    http://www.daz3d.com/artemis3d/cherish-for-anabelle-outfit (Artemis3D store)

    Same with Sadie Dress
    http://www.daz3d.com/sadie-dress
http://www.daz3d.com/artemis3d/outdated-for-sadie-dress (LOVE the red/black and the blue alphabet. Also the brown.)

And these shoes could go with the red/black outfit, also featured and on sale:
    http://www.daz3d.com/inferno-for-genesis-2-female-s

I had to laugh- look at the promo thumbnail that says create your own lineup of suspects- the cute little mummies!
    http://www.daz3d.com/v3digitimes/the-line-up

Hmm, heads up on this one. Quite versatile, and it snuck past me several times. Look at the promo thumbnails, it can be used as a quite nice decorative mirror for inside the home.
    http://www.daz3d.com/pandygirl/the-looking-glass

Same with this one. I thought, "Geez, I have gates galore." Then I looked at the marble textures, the columns, etc. You get your money's worth. (EDIT: One of them, the grill, would make a nice scaled down fireplace screen. You could have that for the fireplace, then use the previous product (the mirror) for the wall. Looks like they match nicely.
    http://www.daz3d.com/pandygirl/gateway-to-luxury

    http://www.daz3d.com/sickleyield/hat-and-hair-helper-genesis-2
Had to notice though- one of the pics still had hair going through the rim.

Versatile- can use in many types of scenes/timeperiods. A lot of consideration went into the morphs.
    http://www.daz3d.com/simonwm/fairy-queen-dynamic-royal-dress

And of course, as we've discussed often in the five threads, a must have:

I've got two or three that caught my eye today...

Diamonds 'N' Pearls is a nice looking extra if you have any of the historical dresses (like today's Southern Belle by the same vendor).
    http://www.daz3d.com/wilddesigns/diamonds-n-pearls (WildDesigns)

    Saucee 2 Overalls
looks like something that might work on youngsters if you choose the material option without the rips. It includes a Breasts Small morph and an Androgynous one.

    My Best Friend
I usually make my own poses or tweak those I got in bundles, but this set is so cute I can't resist it. It's for Genesis. (I wonder what MattyManx users to render these characters, they both look so realistic and Stephanie in particular is adorable.)

Jindi, do you have any of those?
I can render a closeup of the overalls. Think I will.

You're so right about the pearls- that would be perfect!

I also picked up the deserted gas station because with all the city ruins from other vendors, I don't think I saw a gas station in particular. The overhangs give a lot of opportunity for a monster to be perched on there, with people underneath where the gas pumps would be.

Good choices! Yep, those poses really are cute. (I have them.)

No, but they are on my shortlist for using this month's $6 off $18 PA spend voucher. Especially the poses.

The overalls have a really pretty crimson top, several striped tops- a good variety. And note, they render very quickly. I used the same lightset and Jersey again, so I could get a feel of the timing. The tree of course took quite a bit longer.

I wanted to use Danah Braid because it's on sale too, and I LOVE this hair. It's very shiny, renders quickly, adore it!

The Casual Poses for Stephanie 6 work perfectly with G2F, didn't have to make any adjustments on the ones I tested.

@Novica: I like those overalls, and that red top. That is the closest I've seen to winter wear in the store.

Yeah, the rocks might use some sprucing up. But at least they aren't lo rez looking. Might be great for an underwater scene with those arches.

@Barbult: Yeah. Will try the rock shader on them. Good point.

I'm always looking for rocks. I use them so often in renders.

I meant to use the rock shader instead of buying those rocks. The rock shader makes interesting and varied rocks out of just built in primitives. Do you already have the Age of Armour/DimensionTheory rock shader? Give it a try.

Nice work with the overalls, Novica! I think they'd be good on a teen but would probably pair them with a round-neck top for younger kids.

While we're on the subject of Age of Armour/DimensionTheory shaders, I did a couple more renders of one of the flower patches in the DimensionTheory Nature's Variance Shader: http://www.daz3d.com/dimensiontheory/nature-s-variance-shaders-and-props-for-daz-studio as I know Zarcondegrissom was curious about these.

This is a handy product and fun to use. It's not only a shader, you also get a variety of leaf and bush props to work with, 3 or 4 different flower patch props, and some fallen leaves too. I'm just using one of the default flower shaders here on a single flower patch prop. Even behind the scenes I've only scratched the surface of what's possible, as there are so many options with the shader itself.

The trees and shrubs have nice, dense leaves that of course take the Variance shader beautifully. You get some starter blends for leaves through the seasons, but can make your own blends too, including fantasy combinations. (You can make your own blends for the flower props too.)

I tried the shader out on some other trees, they worked very nicely on a Predatron one and newer Merlin ones, but be aware that you can't use them on some older trees that use rectangular planes (transmaps?) instead of actual shaped leaves.

About the renders: again, I've teamed the flowers with the Grass Shader by Age of Armour/DimensionTheory. As you'd expect, my poor girl did get impaled a bit by the grass, but it was such a fun render that I didn't mind a bit of postwork.

The other render shows the trees and bush props. Trees 1-3 (from left) have presets applied, I created a quick custom blend on the tree on the right. The bushes of course have fantasy blends and I created those myself.

Aw, what a cute couple! I really need to start exploring shaders, I still haven't used hardly any. There always seems to be something pulling me every which way. I have those wishlisted though, since now I know a pro at it :) who can assist WHEN I get stuck. (not if.)

SereneNight- I know, when I saw that sweater I thought "holidays!"

Irina, to me, doesn't look at all like the promo. I think, with a few adjustments to the nose and a bit thinner lips, she could look very much like Jacqueline Bisset. She has a lot of makeup options- including eyeliner for a really different look.

I tried the Inferno shoes, and even with the pose for the shoes that comes with the product, the heels were awful. Would NOT straighten up. So I'll have to play with it more and see if I did something wrong. However, I personally don't like things that I have to spend time trying to figure out what's wrong. The shoes were selected in Scene, I clicked on the pose for the shoes IN the shoe product, and nada.

Perhaps I am misreading this, but select G2F and apply the pose. I don't think I ever saw a heel pose within a shoe product that needs to be applied to the shoes themselves. Materials are different of course.

That's probably what I did wrong- I'm trying to remember. :) (I always couch the discussion with the possibility of it being ME, because it usually is!) :) I'd really like to try Inferno shoes with that Sadie dress- I think they'd go good together. I will try it later tonight. Thanks SO much for the help.

The Inferno Shoes go SO well with the red and black material option for Sadie Dress. They're spunky! As mentioned in the above posts, there is a pose icon in the shoes, which made me think "use it on the shoes" and you obviously don't. So avoid a "DUH" moment and select your character, then the shoes work. They're really neat! They look like they were MADE for this outfit.

    First up, Tess.
Pixium Dress is also on sale, showing 65% for me. It's a DAZ Original and a very modest costume. NICE WINGS INCLUDED.

And Thalia Hair, which we've mentioned repeatedly. Also a DAZ Original. Love it!
Flipped a floor- if you go back and look at my Kim for Lee 6 render, I used Streets of Asia. Well, that's the concrete paver floor, flipped.

I'm going to use the same light setup so I can compare the figures equally. Another Lyoness coming up.

A LOT of lip and eye makeup options.
Spring Hair went on easily. Has a lot of nice colors- instead of just one copper, there were three shades of copper/auburn. A good hair to have.
I did not morph it at all, seeing what it looks like out of the box.

Some of the Boudoir poses are cute- not necessarily sexy.

I think Eira's face would make a good child.
Same light setup. She is very pale so I would have gone in with a bit of dusky mauve, just personal preference.
EDIT: Added a full length so you could see the roots of the dress. I KNOW there isn't a floor. :)

Well, I was scrolling and lost track of the number of morphs once I got to about 48- let's put it this way, if the Desideria Hair doesn't have it as a morph, it probably doesn't EXIST. This hair will dazzle you with all the ways the hair can dance. I really, really like the "middle" morph to fit the bend of the woman's chest.

Mallory has 18 lip colors and 9 makeups. Go a shade darker than you think you want- this surprised me a bit. Could be the light, but my choice of lip color was quite a bit darker than what showed up after rendering.

If you like Fair Corsair but don't want it that revealing, consider
    http://www.daz3d.com/uniforms-costumes/ranger-outfit-for-genesis-2-female-s

I used Fashion Poses for V6. It has many good poses which can be adapted for casual use.

The second render is to show a darker makeup option.

    Thanks :)
I've been looking through the morphs on several of these new outfits, and it's a shame they can't do an adjust neckline for those folks who like the style but not the skimp-and get more sales. Or lengthen skirt.

The variety of vendors in the sale has been really good this week (and the previous weeks.)

Doing Lumikki with Midnight Huntress- but the quiver has no arrows. The product description says it comes with arrows and a bow but I don't have them. I'll have to reinstall I guess (not doing it now, I'm more interested in the character.) But if someone who has it can check and make sure it actually is included? Don't know why it wouldn't install with the rest of the items though.

I really like that one. The camera angle is really bizarre and cool with the highly angled background. Adds a lot of motion to a static portrait. Also the hair color is perfect for the makeup and costume colors, along with the bluish-grays in the stonework.

And to answer your prior question, yes Midnight Huntress comes with the bow and arrows, but they're in the Props folder, whereas the quiver is in Clothing.

Good afternoon Scot! Thanks, I'll have to make a note of that. I'm currently working on ZBrush tutorials so done rendering for awhile. :) I read your blog post and since I'm using DreamWeaver, it was nice to know I'm on the right track using that for the ebook. Some sites had said it was overkill but I'd always read it had clean code and that's what I want. I don't have the knowledge to clean up InDesign, nor the desire. I haven't checked your site to see if the new blog post about DreamWeaver is up, but if it is, feel free to post a link.
