Just a throwaway render du jour of a fountain.

Here is the same scene with a little rain happening.

Its amazing what a little rain will do to change up a scene.  I really like that one a lot.  and I love the Hunters one, the raven and skull in the foreground is awesome!

@IceDragonArt That rain is becoming a very useful prop! I really like it too. The apemen hunters were fun to play with. What I realize now is that I have to expand my library of HDRi images to get a little variety. That one is so common that I need to mix it up. Also, some without boats or houses on the horizon would be good as well.

Here is the UV map for the metro train. My commissioned train is closer to completion.

Here are some initial quick renders of the train. The UV textures are not complete, but at least the beginning of color can be seen on the interior.

A rendering with a person in the scene. I am beginning to think of arranging the scene now. Need to drop ini some poster signs on the ad board above and little details. I need to set up somoe characters and pose them outside ther scene and then import them.

I just purchased  The Old Railway to use for posing the train in as background outside the windows. I still have to get down to mapping the exterior of the train with decals.

    SCENE-20190131A

Here is draft one of a new scene. I am pretty happy with the lighting. Like one of the past setups, I am going to use this to do a digital drawing from. The Accordion player needs a strap to convincingly hold up the weight of his accordion. For the lights, I used the Painter's Lights which doesn't seem to beb a product which is still offered in the store. I really get a good amount of use from it.

    3D Scans by Oliver Laric

Rendered by me; 3D Scan provided ‘Courtesy Oliver Laric and The Collection Lincoln’. oliverlaric.com/

    https://www.slam.org/exhibitions/currents-116-oliver-laric/

Berlin-based artist Oliver Laric works at the intersection between art and technology. His multifaceted approach responds to the internet as a mass media with deep and wide cultural reach, exploring how images have been created, shared, and repeated, both in our time and across history. In Currents 116: Oliver Laric, the artist presents a new sculpture and a recent video work that draw inspiration from and engage with the Museum’s own collection.

Laric identifies historical sculptures with rich histories and replicates them using 3-D technology. For Currents 116, Laric has created a sculpture from a 3-D scan of Reclining Pan, a 16th-century sculpture on view in Gallery 236. By replicating works, Laric destabilizes our ideas of past and present, original and copy, and authentic and inauthentic. He makes these 3-D scan files public and downloadable online, complicating the question of who owns an image and which version of an image is correct.

Building a setup based on a drawing of a model I had pose for me. Got a bit of polygonal noise on the shoulder. Not sure how to resolve that or why that is happening to the mesh in the render. I did run dforce on it.

@Misselthwaite I am glad you connect with it. It is remeniscient of things I have seen growing up. I want to do another angle looking down from the tower. Here is another one, sort of a rough draft. Some may remember these from another time. Modeled this one up in Hexagon. This is a discarded and rusty memory.

@ IceDragonArt I hear ya! It is a challenge posting and being productive. But this seems like if nothing else a motivating journal if not daily, at least something to keep me from rolling off the deep end into complete lack of structure.

Trying to drop this custom house in to this neighborhood but oh man... my computer is choking!! I need more memory and more power in general. Hope it  will not be too long before I can do an upgrade.

This is probably part of everyone else's process already, but I just started packaging some of the things I buy elsewhere in the DAS structural heirarchy and combining as products at least on my LOCAL machine. Makes things much more convenient... haha!

Anyway, I love this little house!
