No telling what your Nutty elf rogue would do to a "Vicky" Vicky anyway, Mori.  :)

Entirely within the realm of possibilities. Best not give him ideas, though, trying to finish several other things, can't have him go rampant and demand I get to those instead.

I have the advantage of being the Eldest, and having the memories of many of these convos with Baby Girl Daddys Darling, 7 years younger than me.  I swear she could shove her jaw out 3 inches.

    Thank You.

So, I'm sitting here looking at Kesa in her ridiculous hat.  And all I can think of is

"be vewwy quiet... I'm hunting waaaaabits"

I'm a huge believer in Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt's horsemanship philosophies.  Often, as it did today, the convo goes to "wouldn't it be nice to know exactly what our horses are thinking?'

Um.. to a point, ha ha.  So I made this terrible meme using the subdragon.  Slapdash, but I had fun.

I enjoyed Tammy's  (Cherubit) image of her first char.   This is the first image of Lasai, and the first posted here, long before I made this thread.  Like her, all I had was what came in the first download.  I had no clue how to make aiko hair work, it's posed by itself.  No clue of anything.  Someday I will try the Mil Horse again, but I was so frustrated with it then I have not touched it since.

And, it was the first instance of me taking my ball and going home here, as I had several vocal "helpful" people tell me PJ was too small to be a horse.  I didn't post another image for a long time.

Lycantha.  An "example" image that just grew into a Render.   Lycantha is actually my first MMO char, from Earth and Beyond in um.. 2002 or 2003.  She was a wolfish looking Progen Sentinal hence the name.  She's been in every game since, just getting around to creating her in DAZ.  She's a Republic Trooper in SWToR at the moment.  She has always had dark reddish skin, one reason why I haven't done much here, yet.

To blow out the tumbleweed here, I like that render of Lycanta, and I still think ist good as it it, good action, fitting DOF, enough contrast, I will not put the grid on it devil, but its essentially fitting. I thought it was a good example for the NUC

A horse is only as big or as small as it believes itself to be. I've know shetlands that believed they stood 16 hands high and tall warmbloods that thought they fit into your pocket.

Never let anyone tell you what size something should be. After all, size doesn't matter, it's how you use it.

    Ahem, I'll see myself out.

I'm sorry what's wrong with this image?  I'm struggling to understand, it looks fine to me especially for a very new beginner.

It was my first image Sonja.  Nobody really said it was bad, but a lot of folks "IRL knowitalled" me on the subject of horses.  It galled me. The attitude still does.  "My grandaughter has a horse and I can assure you, no horse is that small.  That is a pony" is one example I recall.   The comments were less about educating me in DAZ and more about my apparent lack of knowledge about horses.  (I still laugh at that part).

I still see this stuff. "Great Image.. but her top would be better off at a Beach.  NO REAL warrior would wear that"  Valid point.. but it is injecting a personal view/choice into a critique and it accomplishes nothing if unsolicited.  "Say, could someone tell me if this is period correct?" is a different story.

As far as the Mil Horse, um.  Best I don't say anything.  People enjoy using it, and it's not my job to do to others what was done to me regarding "knowledge" of a subject.  It works well enough and it would be pointless for me to point out what I don't like about it.

That's a really really good first render.  I honestly don't know why people feel the need to "educate" about things like that.  And honestly, apparently I am idiot when it comes to horses because when I saw it, I thought, wow that's a cute horse lol. (and my sons girlfriend has two of them so go figure)

Horses are measured in hands, 4 inches.  PJ was 14.2 hands, a small horse.  Many quarter horses are.  The only white on him was that teeny patch way up on his forehead :).   He was cute, but could buck his own skin off when mildly annoyed.  He was VERY talented, but I got him dirt cheap because half the trainers in Florida were afraid of him. I traveled all the way there from MN to take a chance on him.  It paid off :)

Ok, I feel like a big pile of stupid.  I've been frustrated by a huge difference in my bmps and conversion to jpg.  I rendered some jpg and noticed the file size on them after Corel postwork was dropping, a lot.  So, under "export" I found a "jpg optimizer" that was default compressing my jpgs by 30%.  Auugh!

This does make a huge difference, I have the same thing with GImp but default there is 90% and at least evertime you tell Gimp to make a jpg of something it pops up a window asking about the quallity settings ( it always sound as if it can't believe that I really want to change to a jpg file there)

LOL computer programs.   "Really?  Are you SURE?  We wouldn't suggest this. You know, this puts the liability on you. We can do this, but have you REALLY thought this out?"
