Adbc - I agree with Hubert nice composition.
hubert, mermaid : thank you.
adbc - that looks really cool.
Horo : thank you.
A simple winter scene, I re-watched David’s video … snow on the trees.
mermaid - this winter scene came out nice.
adbc, the lighting makes that scene so pretty. I couldn't help envisioning the 20 foot man walking through like a bull in a China shop :)
mermaid, so cool. I want to try that too. I missed that tutorial. Will have a look at it.
I watched the remixing pro materials yesterday and did a cloud tutorial. Isn't it great what we can come up with just by revisiting tutorials?
NGartplay : thanks.
mermaid : lovely winter scene.
Thanks Horo, NGartpay and Adbc
So much really lovely work since my last visit very interesting and inspiring stuff qudos to you all
simple hand drawn hightmap for an island trying to get a bit of a shore/beach effect
spuddy - nicely done island scene. The beach came out quite fine.
What Horo said. I like the beach. Such a unique landmass.
spuddy : really nice render, beautiful reflection on the water and of course I also like the beach.
NGartplay: thank you. And your beach looks very good now. The scifi terrain is also interesting.
Hubert: Thanks.
Horo, thanks. Your render with MatCreators artifact is fantastic. I see the famous wave by Murakami in this work. Only Mount Fuji is missing.
adbc, highly original toon-like render.
Mermaid010, very nice winter render. The sky works very good with the great trees.
Spuddy: wonderful island, beautifully made.
I used another abstract as the basis of a terrain. I copied (and rotated) the terrain a couple of times. I call it ‘slateland’.
I also made a render with a couple of items I gave myself as a present. I got a whole stack of bird models and special edition Dawn at Hivewire in their closing sale. I had to use some of that. The DarbyDale Park Heart Gazebo is in there, as well as lots of instances of grass, red flowers and Special Apple trees. The sky is a preset, of which I increased the sunlight a bit.
I call it: "Waiting for her beau." I remade this one with a (not very complicated) coloured gradient on a dome light around the terrain. I also limited the light of the sun for compensation. Not very clear difference, I would say.
Hansmar, I thought that you had abandonned us and here you were just busy making excellent art. I love the dinosaur back landscape. That is really great looking. The gazebo and gal is so darn cute. I'm jealous that you have no trouble instancing. I try instancing and it won't let me. Well done!
Mermaid, I forgot to tell you that I did the tutorial for the ice trees because of your beautiful trees. I quickly saved the material because I don't think that I could have done it again without the tutorial.
Hansmar - that landscape looks strange and beautiful. The gazebo render is excellent with the forest to the right, the grass and flowers and the birds. Oh, yes, and the lady.
Dan Whiteside: Forgot to tell how much I like your scifi factory render. Great mood in that one.
Hansmar : thank you.
Beautiful landscape, unusual form of the terrain, very special. The gazebo and the girl is awesome with the vegetation all around.
Spuddy - the island render is very nicely done, the beach looks very nice.
Hansmar - thanks, both your renders are nice, the gazebo render is superb with the vegetation.
Double stacked terrain made from a texture of a body from the Space Construction Kit with materials from High Resolution Terrains 1. Sky and ambient light by the ErmClouds07_SD HDRI from Gritstone Hills.
Horo - awesome POV, the materials and lighting are perfect
Horo : As always : excellent render.
Thank you mermaid and adbc.
Horo, wonderful peek over the edge of the crater to the water below. The terrain is excellent here.
Thank you NGartplay.
NGartplay, thank you. Don't think I have no trouble instancing! I know how, but I still have to be careful. It is all to easy to be impatient and do someting that will crash Bryce. Also, placing vegetation in the ground instead of on top of it is quite a task. I usually have to move instanced items around and a bit down to get what I want. And I save very often in between!
Horo: Excellent terrain render, with wonderful sky. And thanks for your positive words.
adbc, mermaid010: Thanks!
Thank you Hansmar.
One Alien Artefact by MatCreator with a material combination from Fifty Funky Shapes & Fifty Funky Metals and a Hatcher from Stylised Rendering. It stands on a shadow capture disk from Lenses and Filters and in the back is a 2D-face as mirror. The HDRI backdrop is from Hyper Textures Base with 100% soft shadows, the sun with 50% soft shadows is approximately aligned with the brightest light in the HDRI and has negative diffusion and creates the bright shadow, the dark one is from the HDRI.
For the anaglyph, the material on the alien is different (because the above has too much red), mostly reflection, specularity and anisotropy.
Wowzers! I put on my 3D glasses (yes, I'm a geek and have many pair). These jump off the screen and the one in the back looks like it's really in the back. Fun!
