Lee 6 looks very nice :)
I like to get renders set up and do overnighters too- but DAZ stops when done.
    Gotta go zzzzzzzz.

Does Fabricator work on the older generations, like Gen 3 clothing? All I'd really need is that one ants pants outfit and I could do my own thing.

Fabricator works on anything and everything (I use it on walls, floors, furnishings...) the only thing it needs is a decent UV-Map - as long as the Gen3 clothing has a decent one (not scrunched up in places and not too many seams in unexpected places to try to line up) then you're good to go.

Wow! Novica. I must say your DEREK is stupendous. I'm entranced. I think that is the best one I've seen by far. He has such character and sense of action, and I love how you slimmed down his extras. My I'm impressed, he's one bad boy!

I must say today is a good day in 3d. Not only did I get to see Novica's awesome Derek, but today a really nice Soldier outfit was released by new PA Yura. Needless to say, this is a beautiful piece of work and I snapped that up right away!

Wow! Novica. I must say your DEREK is stupendous.

He does look fantastic, great work Novica! One to treasure.

TJohn's Lux Render work also looks impressive. It's always good to see more of the male characters, they seem so outnumbered.

@TJohn: yes, I didn't mention that I also liked your render. Looks good! Great work there.

Fabulous renders of Derek and Lee 6.

I'll check out Derek's palms and let you know.

    Thanks everyone :)

Sorry I am late to the party, although logged in (three times) the darned posting options wouldn't appear at the bottom to let me post.

SereneNight sent me this link regarding Derek's head line:

Looking forward to the soldier outfit- it's so nice to see new vendors too!

Heads up- what's in today's bundle- the promo image and the thumbnails do not match the list of what is in the bundle. So is there a Temple and Ruins? I posted the question in the Platinum Club Sale thread over in members forum. I'm sure the what's included list is probably the right list, but thought I'd point out the artwork and what's included are two different things.

Thanks, I was looking at that and started to drool a tad. had the same Q. Is that there or not.

I'm sure the Daz3d PC elves will have that sorted out, somehow.

The list is correct, the image is or has already been replaced :) There was an issue with one of the items so they changed them out. (Apparently Totte was on the ball and spotted a problem.)

Today’s review is Urban Warrior, by DAZ 3d, Xena

    http://www.daz3d.com/urban-warrior

This is an older outfit, for M4, which I quite like. It has 5 textures, desert, jungle, urban and naval and default. It also has a number of morphs so you can hide the hood, the straps, the pockets etc.

This is a great sci-fi outfit for your character. I only wish for an updated gen 2 version, as the basic concept of a hood, shirt, pants and shoes with belt is rather nice. I particularly like the naval coloration which has some nice accents.

I am showing it here on HP Triton a male figure from another shop.

There is an included large oversized manga-style sword which you can see in the promo art. I am showing 4 of the 5 textures, with the final repeated showing how parts can be hidden. The outfit autofits nicely to other figures, however the laced boots did not work and tended to look like the character was standing on point.

I like the outfit, particularly the fit of the pants, and think the concept is a nice one. Would like to see an updated version, with more detail and updated weaponry.

Ooooh, I have that outfit. I'm going to have to remember it- looks gorgeous. Your lighting is wonderful- shows the creases and wrinkles in the outfit and I like the uneven lighting on the face- very realistic. You did a nice job lighting the tan and the gray- the light colors give me fits most of the time. It's hard to get them working and not darken the rest too much, and you have a perfect balance.

Not sure which texture set I like the most but since I'm ex-Army, I'd have to say that one. Triton looks good too. That name reminds me of the sea. :)

The lighting was from a set I recently purchased, which you'd like and probably already reviewed. Alisha for V4 and genesis. Judging by the eyebrows, I'm guessing you have her already. =-) Lights work well in this type of render and render quickly.

    http://www.daz3d.com/alisha-for-v4-and-genesis

I was messing around with character lights when I was fishing on what to render him with.

Couldn't get the sword looking good, so I decided to let the promo art speak for itself..

HP triton has a hot cyborg texture, and is at Yurdigital. The PA made some nice genesis mats for the cyborg.

Here I converted Triton over to gen 2 with gen x.

I imagine the set as being useful for a desert culture. In the promo art, they show the hood, and sleeves removed, and the outfit looks fairly military without the accessories. I like the detail on the pockets and the fact that there are 5 textures in the set is pretty awesome.

Announcement: Chat With A Published Artist: Khory

    Khory's Store
    http://www.daz3d.com/khory

Mark your calendars for next Friday, November 7th at 7pm (Central time) and also for Saturday (for those overseas to ask questions) because we're having a Published Artist chat and showcase. Khory will be joining us live at that time and I've provided her with this list of questions for an idea of what we would like to know. If you have any other questions, be sure to tune in Friday night / wee hours Saturday morning, Khory is a night owl- or even Saturday, and Khory will be popping in to see if anyone has other questions.

We had a marvelous response when author Scot Johns graciously donated his time to answer ebook questions, and thought it would be fun to get to know the Published Artists in the same manner. Several of us are doing Khory renders for the products we own and will be showcasing them, and if you other folks would like to show support for Khory and do some renders of her products, that would be fun too! It will be a Khory-a-thon of renders. She has 43 products. I am doing the Dynamic Circle Skirt and chess items first.

Khory will be addressing some of these/all of these-remember to jot down what you would like to ask and post next Friday!

    What is your art background?
How long have you been a vendor at DAZ?
What was your motivation for becoming a PA?
What was your first product ever released? How did you decide to start with that one?
What is your favorite product that you have made?
What are your top five favorite products from others vendors here at DAZ?
Who are some of your favorite PAs here at DAZ?
What is one of the biggest challenges of being a PA?
What advice would you offer someone wanting to enter the PA business?
What surprised you / impressed you the most about being a PA?
When do you work on your products- how often/ how long at a time?
Do you have any hobbies other than art?
What are your goals regarding your catalog?
Do you sell on any other sites? Do you have your own website?
How do you get the ideas for your promo art?
What is your favorite promo art from your products?
What is your favorite promo art from other DAZ vendors?
Is there a favorite time of the year for being a PA- do you like spring, summer, fall, winter?

    And just for fun:
Do you own any pets? If yes, what are they and their names?
With total immunity to harm, and only for a few days- If you could go back and observe any period of time in history, when would it be?
If you could vacation for a week at any location, where would you go?

Also, as I own several of her dynamic products:
For Khory: Can you describe what dynamic products are? What goes into making those as opposed to products that aren't dynamic?

One thing I noticed. The eye texture did not entirely transfer. The tear ducts were white. I went back and just added a touch up in photoshop. May explore more deeply if I want to use the texture on gen 2.

Just curious, if you've done any of the interactive lessons, how do you get the lesson screen to move from in front of your studio screen? I have tried to move it several ways and doesn't work, so I can't see what's happening to my art as I follow the lesson, which makes the lessons kinda useless.

    I KNEW it.
I didn't check out this morning because I wanted to see what would come up.
Now, spend $50 and get $10 off. Excludes gift cards. YES WORKS ON NEW RELEASES!

The Mad Chemistry Lab Bundle, Mei Lini Geisha Bundle, and the Kimono Textures come to 34.00 so I'll have to boot up to $50 to get $10 off. That would be adding $16 of stuff and getting it for $6.

So added the $2.79 Portunus then I am getting http://www.daz3d.com/the-barlow-house-ravenskull-stair-hall for $3.

    Got all that for $40.00

Okay, on the left is the Genesis 2 Female with Mayuree (high definition on both of these) directly applied.

On the right is Genesis 2 Female, then Mei Lin, then Mayuree. That is showing Victoria 5 UV end result.

They are using the same mats, it's just the lighting that would make them look a tad different. Tried to line them up side by side, ignore any height differences, it's just the Y translate to line them up with a good lightset.

Thank you so much for these renders! I guess I got unsubscribed again, because I haven't received any notifications for your thread. I thought you must be busy outside with the nice Florida weather. Your thread wasn't showing up for me in New Posts, either. I finally got suspicious and tracked down the thread manually. Imagine my shock to see pages and pages of stuff I missed! Now I have to get caught up.

Just a head's up. There are new oldies in the All category that are free like last time it was mentioned. Now I'm worried they've done that with other products in between and I missed them.
    Anyway:

@Kharma I think I started the very first one. I'm afraid I've never done any of the DAZ lessons.

@TJohn: Yeah, they've dumped some freebies in the oldies section and they are changing. Just today they added that vixen outfit. Wasn't there recently.

Does anyone have a link to the M4/V4 sale? I don't see the banner anymore.
