Hah! too bad there is no frog tongue morph for that scene.

JoeQuick left a comment on the image saying he might add an extreme tongue morph.

@Novica ... great work on your latest RRRR! Lots going on in there and great lighting! The expression on your ladies face in the boat is priceless.
Nice to see someone do something with MFD and V3 textures ..its always been a favorite of mine and I have all of them except SP3 MFD, as you can use textures from all except that one (as it has a different base or something) All those textures will work on the Genesis MFD and same with the cloak textures. Of course it happens that one I don't have is your Atlantis Princess but it will be on my wishlist. :)

Amon is a welcome character for gen 2 males, and for M6 specifically. He has lovely tanned skin, a number of Tribal makeups, and some serious eye kohl aka Johnny Depp if that is your scene. =-) He is of course a quite handsome character suitable for the boardroom or the battlefield, or both, if you prefer!

I found Amon rendered easily and quickly and looked good in most renders. He didn’t have distracting SSS, headbloom, and his features were ruggedly handsome. He is a touch on the slim side so if you want a beefier Amon you can use the bodybuilder morphs for gen6 males to make him more ripped. Watch out for the pecs, though. =-)

Also, You can apply the texture to any gen 6 character for a different look and feel. Amon looks nice on basic male, and on the gen 5 morphs for gen 6. I’m sure he’d look great with some of Sickleyield’s People of the Earth faces of Asia head morphs for a different ethnic look.

He comes with facial hair options, eye colors, and makeup. He is not a ‘actor’ but a morph you can dial in a little or a lot. Since the character is marketed for M6, I’m assuming his default shape is M6 base.

Overall, I love the character, but I am particularly enamored with his skin. I like the rich tone it has, which is different than anything I own thus far. It is excellent work.

    Thoughts:

    1. My personal taste preference is for a less arched temple/brow region, so I experimented with applying the texture to Slosh’s M5 head morph. I found it looked pretty great. (Final image)

    2. Using the default figure I found that I sometimes preferred to dial down the head propagating scale 2%. In certain images I found his head looked too big, and dialing it down improved the image.

These are my taste preferences, and observations on what worked for me. =-)

    1. Amon Default
    2. Amon Head dialed down a little
    3. Amon applied to basic male vs M6
    4. Amon’s Skin on a more custom character so you can see how it applies and looks. He is using M5 morphs for gen 2, with some bodybuilder thrown in.

I like the last one very much, but then you do have a way with the 3D men, it has to be said... :) Just goes to show that if a character doesn't have quite the look you prefer, it can still be well worth getting and using with other morphs.

Thank you! That and the bistro scene were my hardest ones yet. Very time consuming.
The lighting for the Jet Bike was as follows:
    Skull Cove
One distant light from the "shore" pointing outwards toward the Jet Bike, very light whitish peach, under 20%. Not from above, but almost.
One spot light, similar location, dull light blue, around 30%. Move this light more to your left and have it lower.
One distant light added on your left, from above, almost neutral white but a touch of yellow, about 15%.
One spot light shining on Oceana on your right, shining to the left onto her. Under 10% Almost neutral white but hint of pink.

All had raytraced shadows 50% up.

I am seriously debating doing RRRR in January- I set aside major projects that I simply have to do (aka, clean out the storage unit, finish painting some of the house, yardwork while it's not blistering hot, etc) When my mom moved to assisted living, I took a lot of her stuff and have to go through all that too, so I have to get back to my priorities. Still going to help sponsor it though- a very, very worthwhile competition with some of the funniest people on this planet participating :)

I like the second Amon the best- I agree, think the head looks better dialed down a bit. I really like the nose too. The flared nostrils add a nice sensuality. Good to know about the skin, it does look rich in tone.

Thanks Jindi. I prefer that image as well.

In general Wish there were some fixes to improve M6's default head/face. =-( I think autofit places hair a touch low on M6. Expressions also tend to make the eyebrows wing up even more. I don't see this as much of an issue on V6, but, it can be an issue here when M6, already has a small amount of forehead real estate.
    .
Using the M5 face helps a lot. But it is a shame the default m6 head has such a distinctive forehead.

I'm hoping since we've seen several female releases, that we will get some new adult male figures to use which aren't based on M6's head sculpt.

I didn't get Amon yet ... wanted to see some renders of him first, I like the second one, partially cause of pepper hair, its one of my fav's, but also its shows his more distinct characteristics, the jawline, nose shape, eyebrows which I rather like, and the skin texture looks good. I too am waiting for some more males to be released, hopefully with some very distinct characteristics, something that makes them stand out, I don't want anymore cookie cutter characters. In the meantime I am trying out what I already have on different bases and playing with morph settings, also jumped back into playing with GenX.

I hear you. I'm waitng for the gen x for the genesis 2, before exploring that. =-)

What I'd like to see is that the base figures like m6 be customizable and not too distinctive in itself like V6. Save the strong features for expansions and character packs (like Amon). The reason being, is I like to make my own men, and want to be able to change the figures accordingly. M6's head shape is more of a character morph. You really can't do much about those eyebrows or forehead.. Making M6 this distinctive takes customization away form the user. Since this is the only gen2 male primary we have, that's a huge setback.

It would be like making V6, with large eyes that could never be changed. Only so much you can do with that trait, even if some people like the look. I would prefer to choose how M6's brow area looks..

It is not uncommon for me to dislike the way the eyebrows look on M6 looks so I told myself today, I would not speak about it any longer. =-)

I like three renders for different reasons. I do like Amon's skin and nose as well.

EDIT: On the topic of new male figures, would love a male version of Olympia. A fantasy dude, who is not super buff like Freak, but has more approachable facial features and some buffness. Of all the new figures- so far, I like Olympia the best. Nice face. Cool figure.

Hmm, I like Petipet's new Drone Eye a great deal. I've paid a lot more for less customizable figures. I hope this means a few more bots like this! They come in handy!

    Here is a quick render.

    TOA Triplet - Part 1

One outfit that I really like using is TOA Triplet by Frances Coffill. The set includes an under dress, two styles of overdress, a waist sash and ankle boots. In fact there's so much I'd like to show that I'm just going to look at the underdress on its own in this post.
It comes with some nice textures - for some reason the product description says there are two texture options (Gold and Red) but the product actually comes with a third (Black) and some style variations in each colour so there are actually eight "looks" for the underdress alone. The first image shows one of the four black options.
I should mention that out-of-the-box there was a little bit of poke-through on Summer Liu's torso, but there are a quite a number of fit assist morphs for various parts of the body and I found a good setting quite quickly. There are also a large number of shaping morphs to alter the style of the dress (a few at the waistline to use with the sash, more to adjust the skirt shape) and a fairly large number of movement morphs. The second image shows a back view with some of these applied to fit a fairly unexacting pose.
The underdress also has a number of material zones, so you can remove parts of the sleeves or shorten the skirt using opacity. If, like me, you like retexturing using fabric shader presets you can change the feel of the dress completely. The third image shows the zones next to a quick example (shoes not from this set, textures from Lacemaker and Ye Olde Clothe).
The fourth image is a screnshot, not a render, as I wanted to show a more extreme pose from several angles. The skirt was moved to fit using a mixture of the supplied movement morphs and manually moving the dress "handles" (LeftDress, LeftLower, RightDress RightLower). This took me a couple of minutes only - with more care I could probably have done better. As you can see, the dress can be made to follow fairly exacting poses (I doubt it could cope with the splits though :) but then which dress could?!)

In each picture the garments are shown on Summer Edition Liu by Raiya, which includes both a Genesis and a V4 version (I'm using the Genesis one of course). This is becoming a favourite of mine too - I used her in an RRRR story this month. The hair is Jade Hair for Genesis which is a PC item by DAZ3D/goldtassel, which I chose to use here because it stays well clear of the clothing.

Next time I'll take a look at the rest of the outfit.

AND NOTE: This is currently in the "Deck Out Your Genesis" promotion at 60% off if you are buying one of the qualifying items.

    Stunning!
I mentioned this in passing a couple months ago because of the way it was setup (was just a comment, haven't rendered it yet.) I though it had so much versatility. Didn't know it had the other color option, way cool!

Voting is up for the RRRR contest, everyone go vote! Allow yourself some time as there are some great stories from which to choose.
I withdrew my SeaNautica entries because I did not like the lighting on my fifth entry and won't post renders that aren't the best I can do at the time. It's hard lighting Lilly, Morgan, and SeaNautica with such different skin types, but the set is a whopper and requires very complicated lighting. I had already spent a week on it and its just not got that "ah, yes!" factor for me.

When I went to look for the previous RRRR thread, it was already buried on page 18 in The Commons, so that makes following along with a continuous story rather difficult. I'm starting a separate Art Studio thread just for SeaNautica and can take my time with it. Need to get started on Silo, back to Photoshop, and some product reviews. I bought a lot during Snowball, but already had a lot and need to putz with it.
Really loving the reviews posted by our IGC's- gorgeous stuff!

This is seriously CRAZY- if you have the ValenTina Hair you get the new one for $6.63

That qualifies you for 60% the other items. THEN you get an additional 10% if over 50.00! Before that, the prices from the ones I am testing/probably getting at 60% are-

The Wachiwi Hair Bundle (3 products) is $9.98
The Age of Warriors Celt products are already 40% off- instead of 24.95 they are only $5.39

This is a great hair for kids! In the Bistro Miami scene, where the little girl was watching the surfboard hit her friend, she had this hair.

    http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-hair-clothing-sale/meru-hair
Had this on my wishlist- it's for THREE generations.

Both SereneNight and I LOVE this hair- you can pose it for action really easily! (Anything Stalker is good. Love the clothes.)

Here's part of the items I was surfing to see if I had them or not. Put them in the cart so you could see the glitches (whether I had them or not.) I am assuming these are glitches, there are SO many do this get that, that it's easy to overlook a sale. I just checked and these are NOT fast grab and I don't see them listed anywhere. So Valea's store is glitching.

BTW, the total was over $50 (did not show entire purchase, just glitches mixed in) so you have a 10% kicking in, and there was the Hot Men purchase so these should have been at 50% too. That still obviously doesn't get hair down to $3

Not exactly a glitch I think, just amazing stacking discounts:
18.95 *0.9 (for over $50) = 17.05 * 0.5 (for Valea product together with Hot Men purchase) = 8.53 * 0.4 (if the hair is in the DOYG promo) = 3.41 or thereabouts. Poor Valea won't be getting much profit out of those purchases!

Found Siren Hair and Pure Hair Candy in the DOYG (Deck Out Your Genesis) promotion so far.
It might be worth it for people to get one of the Hot Men items just to clean up on all these others (if they would use them.) I don't think they thought this through (obviously.)

Here's a quick image done with the DM Secret Chamber bundle.

    Used:
    DM's Secret Chamber
Nyx Outfit for Genesis 2 Female(s)
    Nyx Outfit Textures
    Maia for Gia
Persephone Hair for Genesis 2 Female(s)
    Spiderqueen Hair (tiara)
    DM's Circle (pose and chalice)

I used the point lights straight "out of the box," but replaced all the others with an advanced ambient light. This has no postwork -- talk about fantastic results with no fuss! Love it when that happens. Lots of goodies for a really good price.

I've thought about this more than once- I would think if people are overseas that they don't get the full 24 hours of the sale, so I'd always take a screenshot and submit it, with the exact time that happened, and submit it IMMEDIATELY so it's time/date stamped.

This new Genesis sale is stacking with yesterdays sale but you need to have one of the new items from yesterday in your cart, and you also have to find items that are included in the 60% off sale. So for instance griffin wings is in both. In my cart for $3.59. There are quite a few things in yesterdays sale that now start at 50% including 3du, midnight stories, silver.

Looks to me like the "Hot Men" promo is no longer working, so the 50% on Raiya, Valea, FeralFey, JoeQuick, TheDigivault and Meshitup are no longer available to stack with the newer promo. I just tried various combinations and nothing stacked. I even tried the new Digivault release (which is in the "Hot Men" promo for some reason) with an old Digivault (because none of TheDigivault's products were in yesterday's "Deck Out Your Genesis" or today's 50% off older Genesis) but didn't even get the 50% discount on that.
